Hey everyone, just a quick note about the comments because I know most people are genuinely trying to help and share information.

When I’m watching an anime, I really enjoy experiencing the story only through what the anime has revealed so far. So even if the manga or light novel explains something that seems missing, I’d rather not know it ahead of time. There have been plenty of moments where I thought the anime skipped something, and then it came back and explained it later.

I know everyone has a different idea of what counts as a spoiler, and that’s completely fine. For me personally, if the anime hasn’t revealed it yet, I’d just prefer not to be told. I want to experience those answers and surprises naturally as the anime presents them.

Also, when I ask questions during a reaction, a lot of the time I’m simply thinking out loud or talking to Director. It doesn’t always mean I’m asking the comment section for the answer. When I genuinely want to know something, I’ll usually ask directly or bring it up in the Patreon chatrooms where I’m actively talking with everyone.

I really do appreciate how excited people are and how much knowledge y’all bring to the community. I’m only asking everyone to help me protect that anime-only experience so I can react to the story naturally with you.

Thank you

Idk why people spoil an anime/shows

Shadoe

Lol people can't help themselves, always trying to explain something. It's not typically always malicious but annoying for sure.

SpartanManJDOGG

Yea as someone who has read ahead of most things I know it's difficult to not lead/spoil. When people are theorizing I just try to not speak on it.

YaBoyRockLee Reactions

Yeah, my impression is they are not being malicious. I spoke criticizing of behavior, my assumption, because I can’t fully read that they are offering the information to lower our critical was of Rudy. Mushoku spoilers are the worst for me because it gives away the story. Slime spoilers happen a lot too, but they’re talking about power scaling or technical terms things I’m not gonna remember anyway, anyways even if I read it. Lol Well, if you’re explaining the relationships or character behavior, I’m gonna actually remember that that’s why this time I put my foot down, but I haven’t said anything about slime in a long time

selina kyle

As a manga reader it very hard to correct things

BlakeyB

The worst for me is when people say something like "just wait till so and so happens" even if they don't specifcally spoil what happens, now I have expectations -__-

Big Duval

I think people are just used to doing it for other content creators because a lot of them do want the extra light novel context but I know you like to raw dog it so I respect your wishes.

Vecta

The fact that it still has to be mentioned when you've stated how you feel about spoilers and just letting the anime speak for itself whether it be your theories or just missing info 😮‍💨 hopefully those people will pick up on it this time😅 anyways keep up the great work Lee🙏🏼

DevilMayCarter

LN/Manga aren't the only culprits. A lot of the games out now (gacha or otherwise) tend to push content that has not appeared in the anime yet. That's why I just ask specifically before I ever say anything, cause everybody consumes media differently

Daniel Borrego

It wasnt a spoiler, but i understand where you were coming from. Ill keep it to anime only. If they leave stuff out, i wont comment. Then again, they might shift things around and it will become a spoiler. Or maybe im even misremebering the order things were done in

Coping McCoperson

But how else are we supposed to let you know that there is a multiversal event where Rimuru and Rudys worlds collide and they get married?

SpartanManJDOGG

That's another thing when anime may shift things around or folks don't remember when stuff actually is revealed. That's why I just usually stay silent.

Dedrick

When I was talking about their ages (sentence started with "He was 34 when"), I hope you didn't think that was a spoiler (for Mushoku Tensei S3E3 post); that was season 1 anime info that I just kind of found funny. His ages (current life and both combined) and theirs as well them both being longer lived than humans. I'm beginning to think there needs to be a non spoiler tag, but I could see people abusing/misusing that.

s4ean

Just out of curiosity, why is it difficult? I don't read ahead on most things, but a good half of the reactions I watch are shows that have finished that reactors are just now picking up, or newer reactors are watching, and it simply never occurs to me to correct them or lead/spoil. Reactors theorize, and viewers are quick to correct them when their theories aren't right, but I've yet to understand the thought process behind needing to.

SpartanManJDOGG

It mostly is from wanting the correct information to be out there. While correcting information it is easy to slip in something, unintentionally, that hasn't been revealed in the anime at that point.

A.M Seymour

Bro the reloc thing was already in the anime we already saw him place the bed sheet in the shrine

A.M Seymour

Yeah the shrine thing thankfully wasnt a out of anime thing we have already seen the other one in the scene its just hard to see cause of the roxy one on top

YaBoyRockLee Reactions

Yea lol. And I know it’s never going to go away 100% but it helps. I don’t even bother worry about it on YouTube But people are paying to be here and I would like to respond and I think when I say stuff, it helps a little bit so I do what I can

YaBoyRockLee Reactions

In my experience, people are more likely to respond to negativity or hearing something wrong, which means if I really wanted to farm engagement, I would actually do better if I kept saying the wrong thing, throwing in the reaction Mmmm numerous reasons for this. One of them includes basic human instincts. Even if someone says a joke, if the information is wrong, lots of people would correct a joke before laughing. AdorkableNerd is like this. She focuses more on whether or not the information is correct versus how funny it is. And if we are joking around, people who don’t understand our humor or people who don’t care for our humor, I simply not laughing, all they can focus on is whether or not the information they’re hearing from us is. I noticed for 2 weeks Director said a joke during slime and people corrected him. Lol. Even I knew the information wasn’t accurate, but the joke was more important to me. Like when he said something about him being isekaid by a truck which isn’t how Rimuru died but that’s not the point of the joke lol. Sometimes you got two seconds to fire off a comment so in the moment you lose accuracy And then you don’t wanna correct it because now you’re talking over to subtitles so you just have to accept it

YaBoyRockLee Reactions

Additionally, I read people who brag about how much they know they perceived themselves as the authority and they feel good going into the comment section correcting people literally makes them feel important We all have areas like that If I hear people talking about foreign policy, investing, politics, relationships I feel the need to chime in Those are domains. I’m very comfortable in.

s4ean

I understand that, I will chime in often on social channels in areas of my own expertise. I'll even occasionally point out something in a reaction that the anime clearly wanted the viewer to notice, or with something we were shown that the reactor forgot. But I hate correcting people on their own theories... if your viewing experience lead you to theorize one thing, that's your experience of the show, I've no right to take that from you. If you missed something or forgot something, I may point it out, but I'm not going to elaborate further to say, you're wrong because.... the anime will reveal, lol.

GosbotFire

Normally, I would agree with you about people trying to spoil. However, in this SPECIFIC case, it wasn't a spoiler. Just something that happened a while ago that you may not remember. Watch S2 Ep 13 again; what we are saying happens in like the first couple of minutes. Director even makes a comment on it in your reaction.

MrMeleeMushroom

And they give birth to Ainz Oaal Gown when he was still a human

Chrollo

I know the feeling. Mushoku Tensei, Chainsaw Man, ReZero, Gachiakuta and many others were spoiled for me due to Manga and LN readers. Not to mention YT and tik toks spoiling smh.

Skebaba

Sry but ain't Rudy already married to Subaru?

TerryMcLagger

I practice as you preach, let the show/anime reveal XD. Tho I have pointed out some things you guys miss through the episode like I did for Fallouts 1st season. I don't do that as much now since I feel bad since it seems like I'm piling things on you guys. I think I find way more enjoyment when you guys are completely blindsided by a reveal/ put things together as a show progresses, watching yalls well reactions are what I've been here for almost 4 years now.

YaBoyRockLee Reactions

Personally I didn’t see that. Depending on how you start off a sentence I may not read because it has the pattern of a spoiler comment. For All I know nobody in Patreon actually spoiled anything. It was the first couple lines on a few comments that made me hesitant to read it.

Farrout

Apologies if it was my comment. It was just my analysis and opinion rather then any spoilers.. but I have read the books so maybe my thoughts are influenced. Will be more careful.

TINMANPAINTS

If I comment anything, its always something that was shown in the anime at some point. The problem is that there is so much time between seasons that its totally justifiable if you dont remember that X and X happened or that A was shown for 2 seconds in an episode that aired 3 years ago. These could sometimes be mistaken for spoilers if the reader of said comment genuinely doesnt remember that it was already shown in the anime. I try to timestamp or at least say which episodes they appear in if I can remember it off the top of my head. There is also a difference in what different people can infer based on broken information. I see this ALL the time in your reactions where either Lee or Director will pick up on something but the other wont. Storytelling is an art and things arent always going to be spoon-fed to the viewer, sometimes you've got to put your own brainpower to work and come to a probable conclusion for yourself until the anime reveals otherwise (and sometimes it wont and thats okay). With shows like MT or Slime youre naturally going to have issues regarding this not because someone is maliciously spoiling it, but because they are long drawn out multi-novel series with years in-between seasons. A lot of times I have to really think about if I'm remembering a novel detail or an anime detail because it genuinely all starts to meld together. Another issue is wording of said comments. Someone may be saying a spoiler not because they actually know something is a spoiler, but because they are just inferring correctly based on available evidence. For people doing this, at least disclaim it with an "I think ABC because of DEF" or something like that. In comments its too easy to mistake someone's theory with fact based on word choice lol.

Dakota Lehigh

it's insane how many times these things need to be said. Just let people enjoy the ride how they want without ruining it for them
