I'm glad you guys caught the necklace. @54:37 I think Michael/Mikkel had to die because his death triggers a lot of stuff to happen, like a domino effect. Adam sent Jonas there to trigger their father's death because Jonas has always been the one to trigger it. Adam wants everything to happen as it always has so he can begin the last cycle. Adam sent Jonas there knowing what Jonas would do because Adam had already experienced it when he was that version of Jonas.

One of the best episodes of the show! Rewatching the opening of episode 1 hits harder knowing Michael only kills himself to set off the events that lead to Mikkel being stuck in the past so that Jonas can live. Jonas tells Martha they're a perfect match, which is what makes her ignore him saying they're a bad match and kissing him in S1 after he finds out she's his auntie. And he only kisses her because he's planning to erase his existence by getting his dad to not commit suicide later that day. He's just saying goodbye so he can let go of all the fucked up stuff and express his love.

i mean yeah lol...I get that because that's what they are implying lol...But I don't buy into it, it's all. Adam sat in front of Jonas, already saying we had this conversation, knowing exactly what Jonas was gonna say or not. So i hear what the characters say, i got it, but i'm still looking at them funny.

In this episode we see both Martha's first kiss with Jonas at the lake, and Jonas's first kiss with Martha in her room later that night. I don't condone incest! But their love story is incredibly compelling.

I look at circumstances that only fiction allows and let it go. They do have a compelling story. Martha was so tender and loving to Jonas. I’m all in. I don’t not normally see this kind of loving on shows lol This country knows what it’s doing (I love when my head is cradled 🥹🥹🥹)

They're both so sweet to each other. And I know we're all uncomfortable with the visual, but they also make the feelings between Martha and the Stranger minimally creepy too. You'd think this would be a Goblin situation, but it has more eternally pure first love vibes.

I'm sad you guys didn't caught the scene with Ulrich and Hannah in the swings is exactly the same convo they had on '86 at the bus stop about a wishing of a world without Winden. You also forgot Martha argued with Jonas about what happened in the summer, she's talking about this episode, when they kissed under the rain in Season 1.

The confusion you guys felt in the end discussion is probably why Adam was born and why he declared war on time itself. The characters in the show keep saying cool stuff but they also only know what they know and are as confused as you guys are at any given time lol
