Quick East Palace update:
I was already quietly planning to check out East Palace after we finish Agent Kim Reactivated.
Now that I’ve seen enough interest from The Collective / LEEgion, it has crossed the line from “maybe I’m personally curious” to “okay, this is actually worth considering for the channel.”
That’s all I needed.
One thing I want to clarify about the Suggestion Rooms:
I already trust that if you recommend a show, you probably think it’s good.
That part is not the problem.
What helps me most is the audience case.
How many people want it?
Is the trailer doing well?
Are people talking about it?
Is the cast bringing attention?
Is it new, trending, or building momentum?
Are multiple members bringing it up without me forcing the conversation?
That’s the information I need.
Because reaction slots are not just my personal watchlist. If I want to watch something only for me, I can do that on my own time.
When we record for the channel, the goal is to satisfy as many current LEEgion members as possible while also reaching future members who may find us through that show.
So if there are five great shows, and two of them make five people happy, but three of them make ten people happy, I’m going to lean toward the one that serves the most people.
That does not mean the smaller show is bad.
That does not mean underrated shows have no chance.
It just means I need some proof that the community is actually gathering around it.
A personal pitch helps a little.
Community momentum helps a lot.
So when suggesting shows, don’t only tell me “this is good” or “you’ll love this.” I believe you. What I need is the reason it makes sense as a reaction.
Give me the title, trailer, platform, cast, genre, and why people would show up for it.
Talk to each other about the shows too. Campaign for the ones you love. When I see people naturally discussing a show and getting excited together, that gets my attention way more than one person pitching directly at me.
In plain English:
I’m not asking you to stop suggesting shows.
I’m asking you to give me the audience case, not just the personal case.
East Palace has crossed that line for me.
So yes, it is on the radar and will be covered ASAP
