My 2 cents on giving Cliff a reason for being there essentially boils down to this. Take away all other external factors, and look at the party structure. If nothing else, he could just be there as a priest/healer.

For the beginning talk about the spell slyphie did i kinda imagine it like how some methods in real life do something partially negative to fix an immediate issue like how lots of times chest compression’s DO break ribs its not particularly the point but it happens because if you don’t they might die anyway so at least for me that was what i imagined with Slyphie’s magic and why she wouldn’t stop but i do understand what you both mean

im pretty sure they explained her form previously, but incase they didnt and potential spoilers then. shes basically immortal like badigadi, but badigadi will basically turn back into his normal form quickly when he dies(like when rudy killed him), but kishirika takes many years to go back to her original form when she dies and ressurects. so eventually she'll look like she did in that picture but it will take many years.

I think all were fascinating views about sylfie, but I think it closer to Sylf going straight back to work after having Lucy, and her full time job is to protect her closest friend, Ariel. I wouldn’t be suprised if she might start staying home more after this event. As well serious and sudden sickness/passings always hit those closest to the affected individuales the hardest to the point of life changing self reflection. It’s been a rough 2025/2026, so that’s the context for my view point and thoughts.

Within the span of two months, we've had two otherworlders in two different isekai series have a generational crashout about being stuck in a another world that's not as neat as it first seems and desperately wanting to return home to their family that they left on bad terms. Crazy how that works. Incredible VA work. Well, I guess I was half right at least about the sickness being because Nanahoshi's an otherworlder. I'll take it. 34:45 - I felt like it was Sylphie not thinking rationally because of the amount of guilt she has for what happened to Nanahoshi. I do agree that it was interesting that her first reaction when Rudeus told her to go home after she recovers was shock though. It's entirely possible that her sense of time as an elf played a role in it too, yeah.
