Jesus that was a crazy episode! It really goes to show just how dark someone can become if they dont work on themselves. Shows how important it is to make the conscious decision every day to be a good person. Rudy has really tried hard to become better than he used to be in his past life and id say he has made tons of progress, but this episode proves that you can always fall back to being a horrible person if you dont put the effort in. He gave up after Roxy died and then it was just to late to turn back. Seeing what he did to sylphy and eris and even just random people is wild. But holy shit no wonder he went after the man god, I couldnt imagine seeing my life fall apart like that and then listen to him laughing and making fun of me like that. No wonder rudeus went full villain

I genuinely can't tell if it's just luck or if they are somehow lining the episodes up perfectly to Western holidays. Paul episode for fathers day. Wife Appreciation day for this episode. Anyway I won't do any specific event novel shit, I know you guys don't like that even if it's just filling in some cut content. So I'll just say this episode was mostly perfect. There was a liiiittle fucked up stuff we missed out on, but the anime had to pace this all for 23 minutes and we can't get all that psychology in there. I wonder what Rudeus will do from here

thus my question a few episodes ago. did rudy actually become a better person, or was the way he was treated for being goodlooking and affluent the reason for his 'improvement'. or in other words, was his improvement because of his high starting stats in this game and not that he became a better game player. he seems to be always one bad moment away from completely collapsing back into a scumbag. they even skipped over how much of a scumbag he actually became in this timeline(also how much of a psycho badass he became in the end. )

Id definitely say he is much better person. But he is no saint by any means. Comparing him now to his last life id say he is much improved. Also I think many people would fall apart like he did if im being honest. He went on a journey to save her and ended up being forced to kill several people on the way back AND lost his friend cliff who was going to become a dad just to get back and have Roxy die anyways. And thats just the stuff that happens to him before he starts to go scumbag. It just keeps getting worse after that. I couldnt imagine having all that happen in such quick succession not just completely fuck up most people. No excuses for his behavior, he was wrong for sure but I really think many people in those circumstances would also fall apart like that.

Realistically the man god directly killed Sylphie as well. Because old Rudy told us last episode that he used Luke to bait Ariel to start that rebellion thing which she died in. So both wives died directly from him and every one else was collateral. Man god is trash

35:00 not to get super religious but that's literally the comparison of the devil versus God. We all are capable of sin and the devil uses that to tempt us and then in the end convinces us that it was who we are all along where Jesus would forgive us for our sins and take them all on his self allowing us to move forward to a better life. At least that's my understanding of it I'm not super religious but I have heard that style of explanation told to me from a co-worker who's very religious and preaches. But basically the idea is when you start to stumble the devil will latch on and keep pushing you for the benefit of his plans which is the man God in this sense. So while Rudy was always capable of this way of life he chose to close himself off to salvation even to his dying breath looking for revenge against the man God, instead of the salvation after cliff and Roxy died which would have been his wife and Eris and his family who is still alive.

Paul lost his whole family and still got up , took care of his daughter and saved/ rescued a bunch of people exactly because of what you said , he was the head of the family and knew there was people relying on him . Previous Turning Point seemed like not such a Turning Point but i think looking back, it was a "Turning Point" because Rudeus decided to go save his mother which saved Roxy's life. Ironically, Man God was probably right, if he never went there he would probably live a happy life with Sylphy without Man God interfering even if Roxy died.

Bro I saw this episode as soon as it dropped and I couldn't handle seeing my perfect baby girl Eris, my waifu of all times, getting handled this way. I had to take a break after this episode to come back later on tonight and see the reactions. Everyone got done nasty in this episode. Old Rudy got the absolute worst timeline. This is why people had to enjoy the good simple slice of life episodes. We still got some character progression and stuff but all of this was coming and its hitting hard.

I wonder why Roxy has been Man God's target. Maybe its just sport to him, and after he left Rudeus he appeared in someone else's dreams and started manipulating them next just for the same look on their face. Or maybe it really was personal, but if it was... why? She's a demon, so it could be somewhere in her backstory we don't know about.

Man God saying that Roxy would have lived if he didn't go to the labyrinth city where Paul ended up dying was a clear lie even before this episode. remember, Rudy brought that book with him that was a log from someone who had explored that dungeon in the past. Roxy was literally moments from death before Rudy forced his way into that chamber and froze everything around her. I really dont see how the story could have played without her dying if Rudy hadn't gone. I also find it unlikely that Paul would have found Zenith either without Rudy being there. Paul was a bit of a mess when Rudy showed up, and only really straitened up just b/c his Son was there, The book Rudy brought clued them into how to get to the lower floor, and then Rudy only realized that next to last chamber was similar to the Teleport ruins and found the hidden stairs. there were just so many little details from the last season that when you put the time line together, Man God was telling massive lies.
