I’m a little shocked that both you guys forgot Hitogami saying that Orsted is the strongest there is in the world. Remember Rudeus asking why Orsted was #2 in the Seven Great Powers then, and Hitogami said that if Orsted ignored his curses, no one beats him? That conversation was so shounen af, so I’d think it would tickle the most unga-bunga portion of ya’ll’s anime-loving hearts. Atofe would evaporate under the sharp glare of the Dragon God.

Oh shit, it just hit me. Remember when Man-God told Rudy NOT to help his dad save his mom; that’s because he didn’t want Rudy to save ROXY! After Rudy saved Roxy that’s when she fell in love with him. Then he tried to guilt trip Rudy saying “oh your mom would have been saved and Paul wouldn’t have died” He left out the Roxy part. That’s why he told Rudy to bed one of the Cat girls; to change his descendants he would have too.

Regarding Eris and the letter, I think basically she heard the first part and thought Rudy had totally changed and moved on, that there was nothing she could do for him or bring to the relationship and that there would be no place for her. And then she heard he was going to fight Orsted, the thing she's been training to help him do all this time, and knew that he hadn't become a totally different person and that she could still do something for him

No longer a spoiler!! Here's what I remember the mangod telling Rudy to do... Along with my personal suspicions. 1. Help Ruijerd. (Roxy is terrified of Superds...) 2. Go track down the lost cats for a quest. (Building trust) 3. Go get a demon eye. (He barely missed seeing Roxy because he was recovering from getting the eye when she was spying on Eris and Ruijerd) 4. Go to school to fix yur ED issue. (Meets with Sylphie and marries her and gets stuck at school. Away from Roxie.) 5. Do not go to Begaritt. (He says Roxie would of been saved by Paul if he didn't go but even if she is, she wouldn't of fallen in love with him there)

Yes I'm very surprised that Rudy believes anything he says at all since he should know basically everything the man god has said is manipulation Why would he trust that going after orsted would stop his plan of attempting to kill Rudy's offspring? i vaguely remember the man-god being a bit more menacing in the ln. but i mean, having god telling you hes gonna keep trying to kill your family if you dont do this is far more compeling even then some mobster saying the same thing and people do what they want all the time. plus he had just read oldeus's journal and knew exactly what was in store for him if he screwed this up

Yeah daniel, I guess my hang-up is that I dont see why he thinks going to fight orsted and getting killed will stop the man god from trying his goal of killing rudys offspring and wives, I mean now he knows that the man go is purely a trickster/deceiver (as oldeus puts it). Rudy is smart is enough to think "why does he want to kill my kids?" and come to the conclusion that they will be a threat to him in some way and the man god will still deal with them after rudy is killed by orsted I dont believe for a second that rudy thinks he can defeat orsted, maybe he comes up with something and is giving himself the slightest chance but I dont think theres anything that can put the odds in his favor. But you know the LN so i dont want to know what happens, im reading it now but not this far yet.

Regarding the decision to go kill orsted, I think a really important thing you guys missed is that killing the man god results in destruction of the world (assuming the man god is telling the truth while saying this). If orsted is really out to kill the man god and the supposed destruction of the world, then stopping him or killing him does seem like a viable option cuz that would be on Rudy's list anyways in order protect his family and the world. They cannot team up with orsted and kill the man god because they would end up destroying the world by doing so. Again this is assuming the man god is telling the truth which he might not be so who knows. But the statement that killing the man god would result in the end the world is also supported by what future Rudy found out last ep that the man god is at the center of the 6 worlds that are connected, so I do think the man god was telling the truth there.
