Thanks, guys! I really enjoyed your reactions! This was a goated series, and I’m so glad you both loved it. I’m really looking forward to Carrie! I do think Hill House itself is evil, with both good and evil spirits bound to it. The house, especially the Red Room, feeds on people, and anyone who dies inside the house or on its grounds gets trapped there, almost like they’re caught in a gravitational well they can never escape.

I have no doubt you guys would love Midnight Mass based on your comments about what you liked about Hill House. There's a lot of discussion of spirituality and atheism on that show to chew on as well. A lot of people have mixed feelings on the ending, but I love it. Nellie's confetti speech makes me cry every time. I think the house is evil, or at least an amoral force of nature. It's hungry and wants to devour people! The spirits in the house are people, good or bad or in between. I heard there was an alternate ending where the Steve monologue scene has all the sets set up like the red room with one window in the middle to imply that they believe they escaped, but are still being devoured.

Yeah, Lee and Director would love Midnight Mass and Lee would be intrigued by the religious aspect and the villain.

I'm so glad you guys gave Hill House a chance! I feel so vindicated after talking about it and recommending it for months 😩 It's literally a perfect show for me. The casting, the dialogue, the way everything is written and comes together in the end... everything is just SO good. 😭 Huge shoutout to the real MVP of the show, HUGH. That man really did fix it in the end. 😭 Never once saw him flinch or scream after seeing the ghosts lmao. I can guarantee you'll enjoy The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass too! **Bly Manor — If you enjoyed how Hill House weaves together different storylines that eventually connect by the end, I think you'll appreciate Bly Manor's storytelling as well. Same kind of layered storytelling, mystery, and timeline. **Midnight Mass — If you're interested in the spiritual and religious aspects, plus a genuinely great antagonist.

I loved these reactions. The self-fulfilling prophecy aspect is chilling. I do think the house is evil though, but a few good people died there and ended up attached to the house. So, there's good and bad ghosts and an evil house.
