Love the reaction. Also, nothing wrong with crying over anime. I’ve cried at much less than this, like when they had to burn the Merry😭.

Very few shows or movies can make cry. Even fewer can make me teary eyed no matter how many times I see it. One Piece is the latter. I could probably count how many shows and movies like that on both hands and have fingers left over.

SpartanManJDOGG

Sanji was my favorite character before I learned about this other past he has. I didn't even know how much I had in common with him when it came to blood relatives until this arc. I really felt for him cause I kind of understand.

Rock Lee was right, nobody gonna judge you Erza. We'd been gone through this lots of times. That's why we love to watch live reaction because we love to see others with the same emotion and same thought over something, especially for the things we love.

Yeah fam. I learned after like 500 episodes. She goes silent and wont express outta shame if she’s sad and didn’t know how to handle it. Appreciate all the comments. I’d try and talk or do something and none of that was effective as just sitting back and giving her time and reading the room. (Side note. I was gonna cry for my homie law lol)

Hearing good parents talk about kids makes me rethink not wanting any sometimes. SOMETIMES.

My kid made mr a better person. I’m naturally selfish. I needed to learn compassion and she taught me that. (Side note. I called a a driver dumb yesterday and she scolded me. Said i need to be nice to people lol. My kid is ACTUALLY raising me sometimes 😭😭😭)

Erza never feel that you have to apologize for showing emotion. Rock D Lees was correct, we will never judge you for it. Oda is very good at finding stories that will resonate with everyone. If I include all the reactors to One Piece that I watch I don’t think I can count how many times I have watched the series through. It is a powerful work of art that will stick with you forever. I am not sure how far ahead you are, but Sanji’s story is just one gut punch after another. I would keep tissue nearby and take the time you need when you connect with it so powerfully. Let yourself feel those emotions. Just give yourself the time. We will understand. After Marine Ford and Ace’s death, I couldn’t watch One Piece for weeks I was so devastated. We get it. Trust me, if anyone were to make fun of you for your feelings the rest of us will be there in a second to, well to put it politely, rip them a new one. :D As for not giving a kid something they are asking for, no, that does not in any way make you a bad parent. Too many people give in and just give their children things and more things and more and more but that child lacks is learning what is meaningful and worth having. How to save up for a toy they really really want or put it on their list for Christmas. With just a few times that she has snuck in to watch you two have shown nothing but love and patience. You take breaks, cause we can see the cut in the flow of the filming, when you need to assist her with something. I would say that you both are wonderful parents and are doing your best. Love you guys! Keep up the amazing reactions.

One of the themes of whole cake is family and the relationships that are formed between family members, both good and bad. As many people mentioned already, there is a lot yet to be explored in this arc and everyone is going to connect emotionally with at least one of the many characters based on their life experiences. Can't wait to see how you guys react to all the Big Mom pirates that appear in this arc. Also the naming convention for the Vinsmoke children is literally just the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4, or rei, ichi, ni, san, and yon in Japanese. It's a fun little thing you see all the time, but there's also another specific reason for this that'll be revealed later.

ChiTiTi

she crying made me emotional too.. damn, wonder if she survive this arc. There's too many emotional moment in this arc.

SomeoneElse

This arc is about to put you guys through some shit lol. good luck

Joseph Allen

Yeah it's more weird not too cry or feel sad. Im looking at you Lee! Lmao love you guys happy new year!

Dragon Prince

The joke with the brothers being numbered is that in Japanese the first part of their names except for the "ji" part is 1-4

Yeah, Sanji's childhood is messed up for sure. I too related to some of it. My childhood was also not the best. My brothers were bullies as kids, my dad and mom weren't really there for me to back me up and took their side. They were mentally, emotionally and a bit physically abusive too. Even my younger brother punched a tooth out and non of them remember it. Not a single tooth was lost normally. I remember a metal baseball bat hitting my head and then nothing, but no one else remembers. They are different now days, but back when I was growing up it was really bad. It's still not the best, but it IS better than when I was a kid at least. So when I saw Sanji's backstory, I too got emotional. I also got emotional when Robin and Choppers backstory was revealed, because it was about being left out and being a freak with no friends. You know how kids will sometimes run away from someone because they think they're ugly or something (kinda like how they might run away saying "girl cooties!")...well that's how people in school treated me, even in highschool. I remember running around the track with the rest and one of them looked behind them and saw me and yelled "monster!" And ran faster...that was in highschool school 😑. I've had bullies throw rocks at me, spit wads, say racist things about Native Americans at me, stomp on my toes that were wrapped in bandages from surgery (my toes were messed up because we couldn't afford shoes fast enough for my growing feet...we were poor), I've even had a lit aerosol can thrown at me while eating lunch. I didn't have any real friends; and when I thought I did, it was actually someone tricking me or taking advantage of me. Even my first male teacher was physically abusive. I had very few good teachers........ I've....kinda vented too much....I thought about not sending this but...I think it's important to share your feelings and just let it out once in a while😅. I sometimes vent and cry to people and other times make a joke about my life...which...backfires and worries people instead 😅😔. I often just laugh things off now days but also will easily cry for others. So I'm like a mix between you both😆👍. There's actually a main Character I relate to from Fire Force who tends to smile from anxiety...I do that too😅. I'll always be smiling in public...but it's most likely from anxiety 😂. I mask....like a lot😶. ANYWAYS...I just wanted to basically show you that it's okay to talk about things that hurt and that it's okay to get emotional from an Anime 😁👍. Tell her for me, let her know it's okay and that we will NEVER judge her OR you for sharing your feelings 🥰.

A lot to read bro but thanks for sharing that. I hope it’s helpful to you getting that out. (One piece is good catharsis I feel it connects with everyone at some point)

SonicKing2004

I think that the reason why the fake Luffy started to warn the others about them gong with the fake is because the actual Luffy was calling out that warning, and until that point the fake was mirroring everything that Luffy was doing. However, when he called out the warning Brulee realized that she needed to cut off the connection between them lest her trap get spoiled. Also about Sanji and using his hands for fighting, he previously said that he wouldn't as his hands are "for cooking only." Even using blades against his enemies is taboo because there's always the possibility that his enemy's blood will get on his hands, which would affect the food's flavor. Of course I hear you saying, "His fighting style requires his to put his hands on the filthy ground, how is that any different?" However, the thing is that dirt washes off fairly easily, but blood is a bit more difficult due to how it clings. As for the one instance you were remembering him wielding the butcher knives, his opponent was using noodles as a weapon, and that went against his "no wasting food" policy. So he used his knives to deal with the guy's noodles and his feet to finish off the guy himself.

Love this reaction. Sanji backstory is messed up for sure. it's really hard not to be hit in the feels
