Nah ayanokoji was really a demon in the LN. To put it in perspective to really scare the shit out of Kei he started playing with and taking off his belt. He even touch up on her thighs. This man was committed and wanted to see how far she would let anyone go

@Bob david, I will state right away I am enjoying this. But this doesn't take much brains to watch at all, half of the "genius" plays aren't even explained at all, they already happened and then are explained afterword's. That formula is meant to be much more easily understood and simplified for viewers.

Katsuragi( bald guy) and Sakayanagi(white hair girl with a cane) are in Class A. Sakayanagi stayed in school playing chess by herself was because of her sickness not able to participate at the island test.

Ichinose has pink hair in the LN, in the anime is pink gold for some reason. Kei has kind of a brown i guess in the LN, anime is straight up blonde

Yeeah Class A is split within itself with its two factions. That's exactly what it was in regards to the girl leader's reaction to the Island Test. Class A doesn't give a fk about the lower classes. They really just be playing their own game, to see which leader gains more influence over their own class. Ayanokoji's plays are savage lol. I wouldn't say that his scheme backfired. It did in fact work for his group cos that's all he could control, due to the class being split up. His plan to deceive his group on the fake identity of the V.I.P ended with a traitor getting the answer wrong. So yea it was quite the success. But yeea Class D as a whole kinda lost. Hence why Ayanokoji recruiting Kei here is important. It gives him more power over the whole class itself. Well.. the girls' side anyway, thru Kei.
