“When you the viewer provide information from the benefit of watching this series, manga, or LN before including aquiring information from communities that also couldn’t have obtained this information with being ahead of current episodes” - Spoiler Definition

This is intended as the Ring to rule them all lol. NOT a debate. We should have a common understanding EVEN if we don’t agree. It’s VERY ok to not agree. We have independent minds

It’s sucks that people spoil you. I don’t want to come to a point where you don’t read comments until the show is over. Hopefully people can just get it together😭.

It’s all good. Some series i don’t read comments on. I do generally stay in the live action sections the most. They really dont spoil much. They talk about human behavior more than trying to clear up information. Interesting

SolitaryLark

A universal term will be very useful honestly. Arguing over what spoiler means is more common then I care to recount.

YaBoyRockLee Reactions

John. Genius. So like a new word? You got ideas? (Btw I’m personally not arguing. I’m stating after reading the debate lol. Rock D Targaryen

What about info that gut cut out of the episodes which will probably never be explained? Coz I see a lot of animes doing this, and people commenting this like this. For example, In Youjo Senki, Tanya the Evil, we all know about being X in the anime. But in the manga, there are actually multiple being X's and they just completely changed it in the anime (they don't even show Being X's face/body) all doing whatever they like, which explains why being X sometimes doesn't make sense. This info will never make it to the anime, because they completely changed it. Does this count as spoiler then? Since it isn't gonna happen in the show?

YaBoyRockLee Reactions

Personally I think after the series is done. So if it’s weekly. Folks can’t assume it won’t be touched. If it was released years ago like Bunny Senpai. Though you guys obviously know it’s cut because the season has ended

SolitaryLark

Oh sure even if it’s in good faith arguments are hard online so a content creator can get pretty negative effects from being to involved in community debates. Even though I personally like these conversation if I’m wrong or right I’ve seen people divide there own community more by picking sides to overtly.

SolitaryLark

I think you handle community interaction pretty well as far content creators go

YaBoyRockLee Reactions

Thanks. I also note that i can disagree with you openly without any bad feelings by the way your write. You seem to have a strong personality with a degree of human understanding. I use that knowledge as well and I’ll adapt when i note someone who’s possibly younger or more sensitive has entered the conversation. I don’t know how old you are. But you write like a mature/ responsible person

SolitaryLark

I’m a young veteran so not TO old but I’ve been around. Gets ya used to different perspectives. Being a civilian after all that army bullshit really mellowed me out.

Dirty_Oldman

I think it’s best to only talk about the facts presented in episodes as they come. Usually if I say something it’s only related to taking everything the show says at face value. I don’t distrust the narrator unless given a reason to.

ShaquanVirse

Which series you got spoiled on? Please dont say One Piece or Bleach, We need you unspoiled to see them natural WTF Reactions to WTF Moments! Anyway it sucks that people are still spoiling even though you outright posted don't spoil not even a week ago

Mikal Adkins

What about things that were censored in the anime but not in the manga/LN? Do you count those as spoilers too if they are said in the same episode that it happens in?

Trent Ward

Damn I’m trying to see lee unlock some gates on the spoiling motherfuckers🤣

Yep, I agree completely. The comments should act like they're watching the show for the first time alongside the reactors imo. No mention of outside info whatsoever. Only discuss things that have already been stated in episodes that have been seen, no hinting or telling them to focus on things that will be important later etc.. It's really not hard tbh, just don't say mention things until the anime does.

Daniel Gonzalez

Interesting so its technically not a spoiler but what's your opinion on people saying can't wait for episode 8/42/108 etc. because I personally can't stand that especially when people are doing blind reactions saying that stuff makes people set expectations and I've had multiple instances where people hyped the shit out of something I would've probably liked originally if not for all the hype which inevitably they weren't able to live up to

Random58

I think having a shared definition even if it’s not what everyone would agree on, is for the best. I think many people spoil simply because they’re unsure of what constitutes a spoiler to u. So to them they’re not spoiling but u have a different outlook obviously. This should remedy that problem. Other people that spoil just because they’re rude will be more obvious and you can deal with that more easily now. I don’t necessarily agree with the definition but I think it’s a net positive. Good call Lee.

James

People get to excited and want you to feel the exact same emotions they felt when they watched for the first time , not knowing spoiling has the opposite affect in the long run

Darkcarkiller666

i agree with your statement on spoilers. i lost complete interest into a show once just because i saw what was gonna happen before it happened by reading a comment. so i was like why bother continue watching when i accidentally read a heavily spoiler comment
