1. I asked for anime suggestions for shows DEBUTING JANUARY 2024 and got 2 good suggestions

I asked for Live Actions that aren't too long and I have a few.  
I am avoiding things too long to commit to and that seems to perform well when posted online of course

I am mindful not to get to bured into shows and not able to take in hit series.

Summary since this is a long comment: if by feed back for live actions you mean which of the choices are more popular and not for other possible suggestions you can ignore this post There will always be something on your channel that’ll I react to so excited for what’s to come! I know you said you will update post based on feed back so I dunno if you’re still looking for suggestion on live action or just seeing which of the choices so far are the most popular but I just wanted to throw out the Percy Jackson series out on Disney plus rn. Sorry if you’re not looking for suggestions you can ignore the rest of this if that’s the case. If you are still looking for suggestion then yeah Percy Jackson is brand new series with only 3 eps out rn. I’ve been checking other YouTube videos to see about view counts so I could let you know cuz I know this your business so it helps if it’s doing well on YouTube. Videos seem to be averaging about 10-20k. The Percy Jackson fandom never got any good adaptations even though the first book was published back in 2005, so the entire fandom have been craving for a good adaptation and for new people to experience the story. Also not to mention Percy Jackson was my Harry Potter growing up and I believe it’s the same for many others so this story will always be one of my favorites. Hopefully some of the Patreon community will feel the same but if not and you don’t pick it up that’s ok I’ve said what I wanted to say. Also sorry for the long ass post just wanted to sell all sides of Percy Jackson to ya. And as always keep up the amazing work and reactions I’ve never had to worry about a lack of entertainment from your channel

Two shows you guys probably already know of but you guys should really consider doing “Snowfall”, I know it’s long but it truly is a great show and I know that the whole crew will enjoy it. A shorter but also solid one is “The Bear”

Curious? What have you guys seen or read of Percy Jackson? If you're completely blind then I'd recommend it more. I've seen the movie and I'm enjoying the series so far but it's pretty much identical to the movie but not quite as good. Just my opinion. 🤷‍♂️ Haven't seen Snowfall, WoT, or House of Usher.

Lots of fun picks. Only other thing that comes to mind would be Dungeon Meshi which airs in Jan. too. Dungeon Meshi is one of those names that I hear from time to time that gets chatted up pretty well when it does come up. [For me] it was in a similar space to where Frieren was before it aired. Whenever I'd catch wind of both of these I'd hear [contained] praises but never really gave it a chance until the anime. Meshi's got the good o' setup of a goofy group of adventurers too (with a cooking twist), and it's being adapted by Studio Trigger apparently. So the groundwork seems pretty solid and with a comedic premise that has lots of wiggle room. I don't want to give the impression it's *like* Frieren, since I'm only familiar with a bit of DM's beginning, but my initial impressions were about the same, so I hope to be equally pleasantly surprised! Even if it flies under the radar on air, I hope it might land here eventually.

More like 22-26 but shorter than your usual 40-60 minute dramas. I think the longest episode is around 30 minutes but most are under 25.

It’s a fantasy show like Frieren and the first ever manga adaptation by Studio Trigger. It had 2 volumes in the best selling manga list this past week despite the adaptation not even starting yet.

Also just some additional information. The Percy Jackson series is adaptation from the book series. The movies are not very accurate. Plus the second movie is awful. The author of the books is also involved with writing for the show. Plus the show has biggest premiere viewership on Disney plus and both critics and people who have watched the show are really enjoying it

I’d watch Percy Jackson It’s short and really good . The premier got like 13 million views so it’s not only a great watch however it will pay off . It has a huge initial fandom and the fandom is growing so you will get good views as the show progresses. The movie was a terrible adaptation so the content will feel fresh , plus Greek lore is amazing .

I'll just throw random KDRAMA suggestion this time. In Netflix came this totally new Gyonseon "Creature" KDRAMA /horror show and watched couple of episodes for me it's interesting as it's in the 1945s era story.

Season 1 definitely was. Most book fans were underwhelmed (not all, obviously), and it was so disjointed that non book readers generally had trouble following along. I have heard that Season 2 was better, but didn't watch it myself.

Maybe you should rewatch if you’ve seen a couple comments saying this . the premise and plot is the same however the delivery is very different . I watched the movies first and reading the books felt like a fresh experience because it was so different and the show follows the books . I wont elaborate more .

It's for non-book readers the show is good. For book readers yeah, it's not really following the books that well. And YBRL crew is 100% non fantasy book readers at all so they will enjoy it.

If you guys have the chance, look into the show The Bear. It’s really good. Only about 35 minutes per episode. 8 episodes in season 1.

I'm good with watching once and I'd be happy to watch the reactions but I'm sticking with my opinion. I don't see much difference and think their better options to choose from. Good luck though. BTW, love the new Grover!

For live action warrior would be really good. It's on HBO MAX 3 seasons. Peaky blinders fill to it but dealing with Chinese immigrants coming to America. also lots of beautiful strong women characters. All 3 of you guys would love it. on HBO Max.

He said he wanted the character to be another ethnicity after writing her white. The identity of the character was a white girl, he basically already had her in mind so a white girl could have auditioned and probably done a better job but he wanted a black girl, nothing wrong with that just that he basically started talking about wanting a diverse when in fact the second series right after has a diverse cast and his newer books were also diverse. The funny part is he ragged on the movies for not being faithful and he changed it himself when got involved with disney.

Then why does it matter ? Also there’s a difference between changing a character’s race that has no actual bearings on the character vs changing essential key plot elements of a series

Some may say it “doesn’t matter” but if it was a character that is explicitly stated as black girl and she ended up being played by a white actress for “diversity” then all kind of bitching and crying would ensue. Ok… ? But that wasn’t the only change up that the author did. Who because he’s the one who created the story including the characters is well within his rights to do. He’s not the only author whose race swapped another character. Jk Rowling , George RR Martin,etc Why so much emphasis on 1 character especially since she’s not only character in show that has changed from the written source material ? The reason why I said why does it matter is just because annabeth the character was white in the books . Doesn’t make up her personality or define her as a character. She’s just white . So why not race swap her ? Lastly there have been plenty of times where creators have race swapped a blck person or a person of color for another race. Nina Simone biopic, Marilyn Monroe biopic, they actually tried to have Julia Robert’s play Harriet Tubman one time (no joke) , etc

people suggesting all these things they will vaguely enjoy. From a reaction standpoint snowfall will generate the best reactions,trigger them and lead to crazy discussions. And the fanbase of snowfall is literally a new target audience and trust they will show up for it. SNOW FALL is the answer lee.

Yup. On terms of quality i know snowfall is great. My friend reacted to it and speaks highly. I happen to have dedicated kdrama spots so that i keep that audience year round. So i am cautious of any show that is long lol
