Hey guys!

I am currently in terrible overload. So I wouldn’t really promise anything for August now. I have no idea what I will be able to finish and what I won’t. I will try to improve this situation. On the one hand, I'm reorganizing production a bit. I don’t want to eliminate anything, but presumably instead of a monthly appearance, it’s conceivable that 1-2 things will arrive every two months. When I find the solution, I write it. Of course, this is only temporary. Until I bring in the backlog. Or as soon as there is a new workforce, we will try to get back to the original schedule.

LiT: There are less than 200 frames left. Unfortunately there are a bug or two that I don't know yet to fix now or then with the audio version. I'm still thinking about it. I don’t even know if I’ll stay with the Cycles render engine or go back to Eevee for the next animation. It was pretty stressful that way now.

So the very simple plan for August:

I'm making Gatekeeper p3 (priority!)

LiTSiX publishing

Order LiT audio work from Pixie. (She is on leave until 18)

And what else fits... what's been left out so far.

Unfortunately, the last few weeks have become quite chaotic. I tried to make some kind of system (new workflow for animation) , but it just got worse. So now I’m trying to start a little bit early, clearing up the tasks.

I would ask everyone to read the news in the feed first. And if you can’t find a question for your answer just write me a private message. Thanks!

Thank you for your support! Amazing, very motivating. Maybe I spun myself over because of it.

- Max

Courage and take the time you need, do not kill yourself at work

Barsett

No worries dude just keep on keeping on.

Arkay

Yay gatekeeper! But take your time, better to do it right instead of rushing

Aeovai

Remember to take some breaks, go get some water, fresh air, close the eyes for a while, walk a bit for blood circulation, get some snacks and then back to flow mode ;)

Cnet15

Mental health comes before titties always. Take your time!

Be kind to yourself bro The project your taking on is huge. There’s always more work to be done but you gotta make rest a priority. Take care!

You seem in a huge stress my friend. Cool down and make things YOUR WAY, YOUR TIME ! It is your page, your projects, your work. I am pretty sure everyone will support you whatever you choose to do. Take time to finish LiT 6 the way you want it to be. And work on Gatekeeper so it ends up just like you want it to be. We will be there to support your work anyway. Don't burn yourself out man. Work wisely. The ultimate goal is to make your project alive. Don't give yourself unrealistic timelines that you can't make unless at the cost of your health. Take time. Work AS YOU WANT ! I will be there to see your amazing work, whatever the schedule man. Hugs from France.

Bro, we wanna watch Lara take the huge load. Not YOU take the huge work load! Take your time.

Thanks guys! Sorry if the post got a little too dramatic. :D

You need to relax Max. Just do what you are doing in steady pace without rushing and stressing out. We understand that huge project such as Gatekeeper need time to make. I am sure that you finally figure out workflow that will be great. I don't mind if it will take you more time for making animations. It would be great if you provide for us more frequent WIP, pictures, informations etc. of progress even smallest success or obstacles to conquer. I will stay and support you with everything.

Boytronic

I never seen a such quality work, it's really amazing. !

Hey relax Max :) Don't worry. If you will not act like ICSTOR so everything is fine :) And I'm looking forward on your projects :)

So if you feel overloaded and stressed ...how about you put the money you´re getting to good use and hire 1-2 full time 3d artists to help you out? Hell with such income you could have a full team and a small studio with equipment and a small render farm by now. I´m sorry Max but just being real with you. You blew up very quick and now you´re overwhelmed. Hire someone to help you out or you´ll end up like animo releasing one animation every year or two, except they will have 1-2 minutes. Don´t make the same mistake. The "do what you like to do" train hes left some time ago once you started to have income of such amount. I love everything you made so far, but can´t help but see you´re not keeping the ball rolling as you should. Jumping from different scenes to another different scene. Spending time working on cool outfit for lara for almost 2 months (correct me if im wrong). Those things are great but maybe hire someone to make the outfits and props, someone else for scenebuilding and you can focus on animation and the little details and use multiple render farms for faster rendering. You´ve got the resources now. Im just giving you constructive criticism, would like to see your grow, because what you do so far i haven´t seen in terms of quality. Really hope this speaks to you and if not, you do you.

Thank you for your helpful opinion. You basically write good ones. But I will also say my point: Obviously overload is my fault. I misjudged the popularity of the project. The community grew much faster than I even dared to dream. I thought it would take 2-3 years for this. But it became 2-3 months. It is definitely my goal to support the project with talented freelance artists. Who eg. they can give an invoice. And they meet all expectations. In addition, I also need to change my one-person workflow so that I can provide them with the right material to make what I dreamed of. Currently, 80% of the animations are in my head. My primary goal is not to push animations on a conveyor belt. I want to focus on quality. And plenty to try everything. And I share them with the NSFW community. The question of money is not easy either, I do not know where we stand. When will there be a setback. Because it will be once. It seems like a lot of money, but... contributions, management costs. I have to pay taxes. So about 50% gets to me. That is, into the project. Since we have not been holding such an amount for years, I would like to raise a certain amount of capital first. From which I can establish a studio. Or a new rented apartment where I would have room to build it. (This is my primary goal now.) But Patreon is also a fragile collaboration. Their rules are that they can stop you at any time. If there is not enough capital, the project would fall here. If we were full of expenses. 1-2 full time artist etc. So this is a fresh project, not fair to compare to Animo who has been publishing and animating for years. (Although it feels very good) :) So my goals are the same, but I won’t rush. I want to make the right decisions at the right time. And thank you for your support, for your feedback. Good weekend! ;)

I am inclined to agree with Nisama, but I can see your point. European taxes are insane, and Patreon is indeed a very unstable platform. I had similar thoughts to Nisama, but had not made a comment about it anywhere yet, so I am grateful that it was done for me. Wildeer, you make excellent content, and I would not want to see you over stretch your limitations. Maybe you could even consider stashing away money to try and immigrate to a place with lower taxes, like the US or Belize? Especially if the government is eating up half your money before you ever even see it.

wildeerstudio

I am not aware of the tax laws of other countries. Anything can happen. I know one thing I am planning a long term business with stable legs. And I don’t want to risk that for anything. ;)

wildeerstudio

I want to keep improving. I try something new in every animation. I have big plans that I haven’t shared with you yet. But I can't do it alone. I need more artists and I need you as supporters. :)

While I agree with Nisama in general, 1) wildeer has not accrued enough given how recently he has 'blown up'. 2) his income really isn't that high so he can just willy nilly hire random ppl and rent equipment. Lets be real here, $11000/month = a good salary for 1 person, not a small team with operating costs.

Nisama

Where on earth is 11k "a good salary for 1 person" xDDDD

Take a break, take a trip and get inspired, live your life then channel it back into your work. You don't owe us anything, we support you as an artist, not as a product.
