basically when they actually sing live - they have hand microphones but when they have to dance a lot (hence they can't really sing well) they have those headset mics. So low key they sing more quietly compared to hand mics

For the mics, I think it depends on their preferences. With Hand mics, your voice is more clear and stable. Main vocalists who do lots of belting and adlibs want a hand mic so they can control the distance they are holding the mic at while doing high notes and so it's stable, etc. Dancers tend to like headset mics because it leaves their hands free to dance freely but it also means they they may need louder playback to cover the unstable vocals if the mic bounces around or isn't close enough to the mouth. Rapping tends to not work well with headset mics because rapping is quieter than singing. Rappers usually need a mic thats held closer to the face, directly over the mouth, while singing projects louder, so the mic can be farther from the mouth. When they performed at coachella they all had hand mics which was perfect because of how little playback they used. It showcased their live vocals very well.
