Spartan Shower (Patreon)

After her augments went into overdrive making her larger and stronger than any other UNSC Spartan, Vale had a lot more trouble taking showers. Though, while she wouldn't admit it to anybody, she really did love the way her body felt.

The showerhead is at about 6'4" (1.93m), the top of the showerhead pipe is at about 6'9" (2.057m), and Vale here is well over 7' (2.13m+), while in Halo's canon Spartan Vale is 6'9".

So, I happened across this model of Spartan Vale from Halo 5 a couple days ago and decided to mess around with it. I'm a huge Halo nerd and the idea of female Spartans has always been of interest to me. I wasn't really planning on making a piece with her, as her face isn't the most classically beautiful or cute, but then I threw her in the shower, and then, and then, and then... Well, here we are.

As you can see, only the first two images have water across her body. This whole piece ended up being a reminder as to why I don't do scenes and custom lighting. In the time it took to render the first two images I was able to re-render the first two without water and the whole rest of the set. While I initially was going about setting up custom lighting for the scene Daz Studio crashed on me and I decided to give up and just use an early evening sun as the only light source. And, while I say that I was able to do the last 5 renders in the time it took to do the first 2... if I didn't have the shower background I could have spent that same render time rendering likely 15+ different camera angles. So, there's a real significant trade-off in having a scene vs my normal backdrop.
