Self-servingly the idea is enticing, I’d probably like to connect to other fans and I’m sure the music, films, and memes shared would be exquisite. This being said I think Theda would not engage with it at all and would perhaps come to hate it like a changeling. Macy would probably have to then “handle” it which involves moderating, creating channels, and/or designating moderators and “training” them. What a drag. the gay celebrity news discord I’m in is too active it’s unsettling, I can’t keep track and I can’t get to know anyone— i think the calm, cool nymphowarriors wont engage much and instead the unhinged, internet addicted fags may come to rule. This can be fun or devastating. There is always the option of just letting it spin off on its own when it becomes unwieldy and not claiming it as part of the podcast, but it will be always haunt us as somehow representing the deep deep essence of nymphowarsia… this all being said I echo some others who say “make the rules so it’s unusable.” Maybe 1-4 channels with specific purposes/topics, no breakout rooms or new channels. This will make the channels over-busy but it creates a kind of disjointed atmosphere where it’s hard for threads to be followed or for people to get too bogged in a “serious conversation.” Set simple expectations at the beginning about what happens when people get mad at each other. Do a month-long test run. If you do it, It will produce generations of unforeseen consequences. I say yes.

I say yes and I agree that they need a mod. I am not an advid discord user by any means but I got into it bc of another artist at the beginning of the pandemic. It was fun. The mod controlled things and the artist would comment here and there and then occasionally they’d schedule a movie to stream and it’d basically be a viewing party. Like I said, pandemic lol but it still could be fun to have a discord but def wouldn’t want you girls to feel like it was another chore to keep up with so make someone a mod, I nominate the OP of this comment. And also you should charge extra for it. Or at least only make it available for patrons at first and see how it goes.
