SCP 8364 - A Bouncy Expedition - Script (Patreon)
Content
This is a script written by myself and Helioshigh, a little spin-off of the SCP 8364 “Seek and Squeaks” that we wrote a while back. I've commissioned Sangria to do the narration and sound work. In this reading, a balloon-obsessed researcher gets a little too close to SCP 8364, and goes on a little escapade inside of the inflatable dimension, but she's not alone…
—
My name is Doctor Helen Liuma, and I've made a very big mistake.
[Heavy mechanised door slides open]
[Click clacks of heels as Dr Helen Liuma enters the testing chamber]
I worked for the SCP Foundation, a secretive organization that contains things that people would consider.. unnatural.
[Heavy motorized door slides shut behind her]
[More heel clacks as she approaches SCP 8364]
My job was as a researcher meant to document and observe a particular SCP item. SCP 8364, an anomalous balloon. I had been briefed on the entity, but I couldn't control my urges, my looner side itched to find out how it would do, what it was like once I got sucked inside of it.
[The sound of fingers touching the balloon, before the sound of it sucking in the POV]
But just like the files said, one little touch is all it takes. By the time I had second thoughts, it was too late, even as I reached for the door with my one free hand only to get the cuff of my shirt stuck on the door, ripping it off as I was tugged into the crimson sphere.
[Doctor Liumas Yelps, as squeaky fills the room, followed by the sound of her shirt ripping off as the sound of squeaking latex is muffled as she's pulled in.]
The balloon sucked me like a large pair of inflatable lips, squeezing and puckering around my body as I was pulled inside. It was so tight, with the folds of inflatable rubber pressing in on me from every angle, making it impossible for me to move, my arms and legs pinned tight. I couldn't help but whimper as the soft frictionless latex slid across my bare skin, my bra doing little to protect my bosom from the anonymous balloon’s rubbery touch. If I wasn't so terrified, I would've enjoyed this bizarre predicament, but my trip soon came to an abrupt end as I found myself lying on the padded floor of SCP 8364.
[The sound of the pov getting squeezed and pushed through layers of rubber until they fall onto a puffy bounce house flooring with a Poomf!”]
Around me where the colorful hallways of the 8364’s pocket dimension, resembling a blue and purple bounce house. I tumble over as I attempt to stand up, the rubber sagging under my feet as the floor wobbles beneath me. It feels like I'm trying to walk on a marshmallow, making it nearly impossible to walk, especially in these heels…
[the sound of struggling to stand, maybe even slipping once or twice before the sound of high heels being removed and thrown are audible]
…so bare feet it will be.
[rhythmic squeaks as the researcher traverses with inflatable labyrinth]
One thing I never considered about walking on such soft surfaces was how difficult it was to traverse. I just couldn't get my footing on a floor that wasn’t solid, the floor practically enveloping my feet with every step. Every so often, I would tumble forward and land face-first onto the soft, padded floor, making me feel utterly ridiculous.
[the sound of a body falling onto soft rubber along with a clumsy yelp]
Eventualy, I got used to it, but I had to take each and every step carefully in order to prevent another tumble. It felt as if I was learning how to walk again, struggling to keep my balance as the floor wobbled and bounced like Jell-O. Even though the rubber felt rather pleasant against my bare feet, I couldn't help but feel a little silly, especially with my bra exposed, with only my skirt left to cover me.
[footsteps now more consistent, the sound echoing as she goes down an inflatable corridor]
The floor was padded in ballooning square segments and the wall and ceiling was pretty much the same. Everything felt so weirdly sterile, especially with how well-polished the surrounding rubber was. Stranger still, everything was perfectly illuminated, despite no visible light source of any kind.
Before long, after a couple of turns down the squeaky corridors, I came into a room that defied my expectations.
[Doctor Liumas footsteps slow, and the sound of soft squeaking can be heard in distance, not much reverb since the area is huge]
I was now in a new room the size of a stadium, the floor and walls now padded with bright pink rubber, but that wasn't the strangest part. Across the area as far as I could see, was what I could only describe as a large playground. I could see inflatable forts, wide bouncy slides, pits full of rubber balls, just to name a few. There were also random slopes, archways, walls, and barriers along with other pieces of random inflatable architecture. It reminded me of Chuck E. Cheese, or one of those indoor inflatable playgrounds.
It was absolutely breathtaking, filling me with a sense of nostalgia that eased my fear as I made my way through the area with little bouncy steps. Though I was far past the age that I would find a place like this enjoyable, I strangely didn't feel out of place here. That's when I noticed that everything here was adult-sized, from the large slides to the inflatable forts, way too big for an actual playground. What kind of place is this? and what made it?
[Doctor Liumas continues walking, much more slowly as she takes in the sites around her]
But while I was distracted by my surroundings, I suddenly misstepped as my foot suddenly sank into the floor causing me to tumble forward with.
[Doctor Liumas let's have a startled yelp as she tumbles into a pit of large squishy balloons]
My fall was cushioned by… not the floor, but dozens upon dozens of colorful inflatable balls. I had accidentally walked right into one of the ball pits. Thankfully, all the balls were made of latex rather than plastic, making them soft and pleasant to the touch, each the size of a basketball.
[the sound of dozens of balloons rubbing against one another]
With a sigh, I tried to climb out of the pit, but my body only sank in a couple more inches as I slipped around the balloons in a brief symphony of squeaks.
[the balloons creaking deeply as she sinks further into the pit]
I squirmed a bit to try to get some leverage, but the balloons were so smooth they lacked friction, and every little movement I made caused them to squish and rub against me, especially around my chest. I couldn't help but let out a little moan as I chose to take a little moment to enjoy the rubbery pit since no one was around. It felt less like I was struggling in a ball pit, and more like I was being snuggled by a swarm of bubbles, their rubbery forms so squishy they seemed to mold around my form as I wiggle about.
[Doctor Liumas moans softly as she squirms in the balloon pit, the balloons squeaky softly, but rhythmically]
That’s when I heard a squeak echo throughout the area, making me pause with a shiver. It hadn’t come from the pit I was in, but it sounded like it was nearby.
[this speaks stop as the sound of a deep rubber footstep could be heard]
With a sense of urgency, I reached over to the edge of the pit and pulled myself back onto the floor, which took a bit of effort. The balloons squeezed around my midsection, but with a quick tug, I managed to pull myself out, only to realize that my skirt had come loose! I reached into the pit to get it back, but it was long gone, hidden beneath the sea of rubber bubbles.
[the sound of Doctor Liumas body squeezing out of the ball pit, then flopping onto the floor with a squeak]
I was now wearing nothing but my underwear, making me feel a bit self-conscious despite being alone, or was I?
[another deep squeak could be heard]
I heard another ominous squeak, turning around just in time to see a pair of ears disappear behind a nearby wall. My last piece of clothing was now the least of my concerns, as I recalled the partially redacted section of 8364’s document, mentioning a secondary entity. Once I managed to get back on my feet, I ran past the ball pit and through one of the archways.
[ deep squeaks as she gets back on her feet and runs]
The next area was crowded with a bunch of pink inflatable trees sticking out from the ground, each bapping and smacking against me as I fled. It didn't hurt, so I simply pushed past each and every inflatable in my way, trying to ignore how soft they felt against my body as they bumped into me.
[ the sound of frantic squeaky footsteps, Along with the sound of large inflatables smacking against Doctor Liumas as she runs]
I looked back for a brief moment to see if I been followed, only to lose my footing again as I found myself tumbling and bouncing across the rubber floor.
[the sound of Doctor Liumas tumbling and bouncing across the floor]
It wasn't until I picked myself up that I heard the encroaching sound of Rubber footsteps, along with the sound of loud bapping as something was barreling through the inflatable trees. There is no doubt about it now, the entity was following me.
[the sound of bapping balloons and squeaky footsteps approaching]
Scrambling back to my feet as fast as I could on the squishy floor, clumsily hopped my way over to a nearby bright blue rubber fort, decently sized and perfect for hiding.
[the sound of panicked, clumsy footsteps]
I practically dolphin dived into the fort and huddled up against the soft inflatable wall.
[the sound of a body footing against rubber]
I did my best to stay still, but even the tiniest movement I made caused the rubber behind me to squeak against my bare skin. I couldn't help but blush as the latex wall pressed against me, causing me to exhale as I held back a moan. Worse, I found it impossible to stay still as I slipped against the smooth polished latex wall I was leaning on, resulting in gentle little squeaks. But it was too late for me to correct that, as I heard the squeaky footsteps approaching once again.
[the sound of very subtle squeaking as Doctor Liumas struggles to stay still, the sound of the entities footsteps approach]
I struggled to get back up, but once I did, I bolted through the fort and made a beeline towards the back door.
[Doctor Liumas gets off of the floor and we hear her clumsy, panicked footsteps against the rubber]
But to my horror… the door frame suddenly puffed up, inflating instantaneously and sealing itself shut.
[the deep swift whoosh of an inflating balloon]
I was too late, and plowed face-first into the now tightly sealed wall, sinking into its soft surface before bouncing back onto the squishy floor.
I struggled to pull myself off the floor, getting ready to find another way before… it was too late.
[Footsteps enter the room]
The entity entered the room, standing nearly 6 feet tall, with a printed static toothy grin, large inflatable paws, and a smooth rounded body with an appearance benefiting a mascot. It was SCP 8364 -1A, a living wolf-shaped balloon, Its body was a dark gray hue, while its underbelly was a bright pastel pink, along with its nose and puffy paw pads. Upon first glance, it actually looked pretty adorable, like something out of a cartoon, until it began moving closer…
[sound of It's soft squeaking body as it stands stationary, then footsteps continue as it approaches her.]
Its body wobbled and jiggled with every step, its soft squeaking emanating throughout its hollow body as it approached. I was cornered, and all I can do is back up against the squishy wall as it reached down to me with its puffy paws.
[The sound of soft footsteps growing closer]
I yelped as it threw its arms around me, quickly muffling my squeals as it wrapped me up in a tight smothering hug.
[Doctor Liuma exclaims, her voice quickly muffled played with the sound of a tightening balloon. (probably make her voice sound more surprised than fearful, like an “Oooh!” as if startled by its affection)]
I moaned into the balloon's puffy chest as I squirmed in its arms, but it had me completely pinned, its squishy body practically conforming to mine as it squeezed me tight. Despite just being a big clumsy-looking balloon, it easily overpowered me, its body simply wobbling harmlessly as I thrashed in its arms.
[the sound of Doctor Liumas muffled whimpers, with the sound of a balloon rubbing against her]
Even as I threw my fists into the thing, my hands would only sink into the squishy surface before bouncing my punches away.
[the sound of fists rebounding off the balloon beast, the whimpers sounding more desperate]
The balloon responded by squeezing me even tighter, further burying me in its embrace as its squishy underbelly folded around my body. It didn't hurt, but it felt like it was trying to envelop me, and all I could do was squirm and whimper as it squeezed me into its soft, inviting form.
[the sound of creaking getting louder as the balloon tightens around her, her muffled moans changing from desperate to euphoric, indicating that she's enjoying the squeezing]
The way it held me was almost possessive, as if I was trapped in a loving vice from which I couldn’t escape.
[The sound of squeaking grows calmer as her struggles fade, she is barely able to move now that it squeezing her more tightly]
It felt like I was sinking into a big squishy bubble, a truly indescribable sensation, and one that I would eventually get used to as the days went by.
[The sounds of squeaking grow more faint and muffled, hinting at Doctor Liuma either succumbing to the smothering hug, or her surrender to its embrace]
The only clue to my disappearance would be later noted as an additional addendum to SCP 8364, with my expensive dress shirt hanging on the door to 8364’s chamber.
Now, I was just another resident of its inflatable pocket dimension.
[The sound of soft creaking of the SCP 8364 instance floating in its chamber along with the sterile sound of a buzzing fluorescent light.]
