What the H......!

I thought most planets were at their southern most declines on the Leo Side of the Sun.  Well?  Mercury is on the Leo side of the Sun.  And if Mercury is suppose to be at Maximum Northern Decline today,  They it's incline can only be 7 degrees maximum above the ecliptic.

We Found Mercury's Transit of The Sun. You Wont Believe Where it Was?

Mercury has the highest declination of all the planets. But still there are questions. We thought most planets' had their most southern delclines in orbital plane, on the Leo side of the Sun. Meaning where Earth is in February. Is that what we see from Mercury today? A southern transit? No! Is it normal? Has Mercury ever traveled out of LASCO c3 scope or frame? To the North? Loss of reflectivity? Highest point in its orbit?
