Hello Gina! So The Witcher started as a book series then became a game series (which had some significant creative differences from the books) and then became a really garbage show. The setting is in a medieval slavic world defined by an event called the Conjunction of Spheres which is the collisions of multiple dimensions. This event introduced magic, monsters, and humans into the world which had previously only been inhabited by elves and dwarves and other fantasy races. Humanity grew quickly and established themselves but found they weren't equipped to deal with the really terrible monsters. Mages created magic superhumans called witchers who were tasked with slaying these monsters for bounty. In the current timeline, humanity has carved out a comfortable place for itself and the need for witchers has become less and less resulting in people treating witchers as weird freaks. The series follows Geralt of Rivia, a misunderstood grumpy witcher with a heart of gold. The story you follow is a weirdly wholesome found family action drama where Geralt meets a hot sorceress and kind of intertwines their fates in a way where they will always be together and then becomes an adoptive dad to a superpowered daughter. The first cinematic you watched was an iconic moment in the story where a baron's daughter is cursed to be a monster called a striga and Geralt is hired to fight her all night and break her curse by preventing her from sleeping in her crypt come the dawn. It is a great series and I would definitely recommend reading the books.

Starcraft is an RTS game by Blizzard. It has three races, Terran (Humans), Zerg (insect like things) and Protoss (the ones in the third video). I'm gonna link another cinematic in Discord that (kind of) shows a backstory of Kerrigan, the woman in the second cinematic.

For starcraft 2, there's cutscene cinematics for the entire 3 plots for starcraft 2. But that would be HOURS of lore 😂

Would e insane if you played the Witcher 3. One of my fav games and honestly probably something you'd enjoy quite a bit. Definitely heavier on the action that Detroit or Last of us but you can put it on story and just enjoy the gorgeous world and tale.

i will say i liked the first season of the show, and the second season too, but then the third season was so trash i couldn't finish it and then henry cavill left.... super doomed. playing the games is def one of the best ways to get the story, but i haven't read the books so idk
