Zero tears were shed during trailer tuesday and I call that a win. But also, are you guys okay? Have you had a change of heart? Do you want me to... gasp.... have fun?!?!?!

woooooo Gina post and the day is good again. Also is that Shaun of the Dead in the thumbnail? Gotta watch the video right now. Edit: My vote is very biased but Shaun of the Dead, no doubt about it, it's not spoopy at all, the way they change normally spoopy situations in funny ways is something I love. If it were for me I would reccomend the whole Cornetto trilogy, but I have a feeling watching the first one will convince you on watching the other 2

Not Mike Wazowski but Sully from Monsters inc in the first trailer, the actor is John Goodman. And, the What We Do in the Shadows movie came out before the series. Also, if you want to watch a true bowling comedy movie. You need to watch Kingpin. Very underrated comedy imo.

Damon Shaw

How would you personally rate the third film? I've seen the first two but, for some reason, I never got around to the last one. Don't worry about going into depth so it doesn't give anything away to Gina, but do you think it's worth the time?

GINA

dammit.. CLOSE ENOUGH! Haha and honestly, I'll add Kingpin to my very long list of movie recs for when I want some comedy. I am reaching a point where I am sick and tired of being emotionally abused by movies lol

I quite enjoy this format as it is, as long as you're not getting bored by it. There's plenty more great trailers to recommend! If you've seen and enjoyed any Coen brothers movies, you'll probably like The Big Lebowski. Unfortunately the trailer doesn't really do it justice. Jojo Rabbit is a gem, glad you plan on watching it and looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it! What We Do in the Shadows is a New Zealand movie made by the same director/writer and yes, there is a later US TV adaption with different actors and characters, which is even better imo.

All good comedy choices. Lebowski (actually started a whole new religion), Shawn (the start of one of my favorite trilogies and a unique comedy one :), Office Space (great time capsule of pre 9/11 days). Lebowski, Shawn, and JoJo are 3 of my all time favorites. I hope you like JoJo too. Another suggestion is In Bruges. It's another one of my favorites and a dark comedy by the same writer as The Banshees of Inisherin.

I think Trailer Tuesday is one of the coolest thing you do on the channel and I really enjoy them. Maybe I'm wrong but I expect you to exhaust all the iconic video game trailers/cinematics soon. There aren't many games that do cinematics like World of Warcraft or Diablo. I'm sure there are still solid trailers for you to watch but I just wanted to say that if submissions ever taper off, feel free to switch it up!

The third film is my favourite, but it's a very biased opinion on my side, since it's the first one I saw, and it was something I discovered togheter with my brother. (If I had to take away that aspect I'm not sure if it could beat the second one) Without going into detail I really like the way cast interacts with each other, and the underlying theme, which is quite deep and not very easy to notice, especially in a first watch (I've noticed some stuff only by watching it multiple times and by the different point of view of different reactors). And it goes without saying it's pretty effing funny, if you haven't seen any trailer and/or you don't know the theme, definitely do not look it up, it's like a completely normal movie and then all of a sudden it switches, it might sound a bit weird without trying to spoil but the less you know the more entertaining it will be.

I saw a trailer around 6-ish years ago, so the only memory I have is of Simon Pegg in a house. From the sounds of it that's a good thing! If it's one of those films where you can spot things on multiple viewing, count me in. That alone tells me they've put effort into this as they did with SOTD and HF. I'm not too fuzzed (sorry, had to lol) if it falls short of HF. As long as it has a similar spirit and turns out to be a good time, I'll be happy. I appreciate you taking the time to write that 👊

You're welcome, actually I'm happy I got the chance to rant a little bit about a movie I like, so I want to thank you as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy the first experience and find the movie entertaining. It's actually quite hard to rank the movies now that I happened to think about it

GINA

Okay phew! I enjoy the trailer Tuesday but sometimes I feel bad because I worry it’s not entertaining enough, I suppose? The one thing I’ll say I liked about the big Lebowski trailer is the fact that I had zero clue what was going on. Unlike trailers today where they show you the entire plot lol

GINA

You can’t just say “started a whole new religion” and NOT EXPLAIN

GINA

Perfect! I enjoy the trailer Tuesdays but I always want to check in to make sure it’s something everyone else is still enjoying as well! I do have a plan for if/when we run out of game trailers and such that I might actually test pilot soon to see how everyone feels about it!
