Update: Standalone version and Multiplayer connectivity issues (Patreon)
Content
Hey!
If you are still unable to connect to some (or all) Official Multiplayer servers in Plazma Burst 3 - I'd like you to do the following steps:
Go to https://www.plazmaburst.net
Click "Download launcher (experimental)"
Click on "Plazma-Burst-3-setup.exe" to download it.
It will give you a Chromium-based wrapper (Electron.js) that turns Plazma Burst 3 into standalone application essentially. Installer is not signed for now so it will give you a warning that you can skip by clicking "More info" and "Run anyway".
Whole source code of this launcher is also available on that page if you are interested. I believe I made it secure but feel free to report any issues you'll find.
Press [ I have an account ] - It will require authentication file to get into it, you can get it from Settings > Profile of a website version
Once you are in, go to [ Play together ]
Press [ Raw UDP test ] and wait until it finishes
It will do the test and will send me the results. Basically, I'm considering using official servers as proxies since WebRTC just does not work even with TURN servers for some of the players. Tell here in the comments if you can't connect to official servers AND this test works fine for you ^
If you can't connect to official servers via browser but can do it in this standalone version - tell me about this here too (it does not use raw UDP yet, I'm just testing it for now).
This standalone version should ask for updates and be able to update itself automatically. It also should automatically pick best GPU if you have 2 on your PC and prevent background game instance from pausing (unless you minimize it, but that can be fixed too in the future).
Still report other unrelated issues/bugs via comments there: https://www.patreon.com/posts/142029055
