【personal】 typing asmr... 😴 (comparing 2 switches/keycaps & speed test!) (Patreon)

i was testing my typing speed, as well as changing out my keyboard switches...thought it was a perfect time to record the asmr from it hehe

mainly unedited btw! there's room noise, some breathing sounds, snippets of my voice and mouse clicking in this, too~

first test (0:00-2:05) : tactile brown switches (stock), stock keycaps

second test (rest of the video): akko V3 creamy yellow pro linear switches, womier abs keycaps - crystal jelly keycaps in light blue

🤓 nerd moment below:

i'm happy i finally got to test out tactile switches with the keyboard i'm currently using! i do like the tactile feeling, but typing with them were indeed more tiring than with linear ones i've used. i had another mechanical keyboard that came with linear switches (i think they were pink switches), but certain keys started acting up which made it impossible to use basically TT____TT it was such a pretty board too ahhh. oh wait, i think i'll post a picture of the two of them somewhere.

i had these akko switches and womier keycaps bought for my first keeb, so after testing out the tactile switches for a while, i was like yeah, i think i wanna go back to linears hahaha

they're just smoother and have less actuation force etc.; basically, easier to type with, easier to press overall.

personally as well, i also prefer a creamier sound from keyboards!! i don't think mine is fully there yet, but i'm pretty content with how it sounds for now. i also like the "thocky" keyboard types! one day maybe i'll build one like that. i'm already wanting to get another one since my other one is ded 😣

also in case you were curious, i average about 85-90 wpm, highest i usually get is 105 or so. i've been trying to get it higher though aaaa
