So I usually buy my fabrics by the yard. But if you are only making one. (assuming the yards are full yards. A full yard being 36in × 56in+ and half yards being 18in × 56in+) The only fabric you may need full yard of is for the main back fabric (in my case the spotted deer fawn fabric). You can get away with a half yard easily if you use a unique fabric for the back and different fabrics for mostly everything els. (So only using it for the top portions of the head, neck, back, middle of tail.) The main front and back leg piece (the skinny long leg pieces) are just barely under 18in long so you sould be fine. If the fabric you use is fur, make sure to ask them to cut the backing of the fabrics so you can use the full fabrics length. Big Z Fabrics and Howl fabrics do a great and cuting the backing by default but random etsy shops or ebay sellers etc. may not, so definitely ask them.
