Hey, everyone!

I first want to apologize for the lack of art, game update, and for the silence on my end. I've had a really rough two weeks.

So two weeks ago, my sister called me and asked to help her move on a very, very short notice. Now, the thing with this is that she has a farm with horses, cows, pigs, a fuckton of dogs (she runs a kennel), a bunch of equipment, as well as three younger kids between ages 3-8 who all have varying degrees of autism and ADHD (so they're quite a handful), and a teenage son with severe mental disability (meaning his ability to help was very limited and also needed to be looked after). Neither of our parents could help all that much (in the case of my mom, it's because of the medical issues I've talked about previously, and in the case of my dad, it's because he's still healing from an injury he got when his horse fell while he was riding it).

Now, the reason why she had to move on such short notice is because her landlord had a stroke or something (she was fuzzy with that detail) and became incapable of managing his property. Apparently, he was a pretty chill guy and had told my sister that she would be given the land her farm occupied after he died (he was old). From what I understand, this was at most a handshake deal and was not legally binding in any way. His son had no interest in honoring that deal or in keeping the land, and so after his dad was incapacitated, he went to work selling it. And since my sister couldn't afford to buy the land, she was forced to move. And because it was on such short notice and because what she needs to keep her animals, she could only find a suitable farm to rent several miles away.

I'm sorry to say that between helping my sister move and look after her kids, I've neither had the time or energy to work on anything. I was hoping to get at least a small game update out this weekend, but I've been so burnt out that I haven't been able to get much of anything done. I should be able to get something out either next weekend or the weekend after, though.

Again, I'm so sorry about this! If anyone wants a refund, please don't hesitate to ask!

Dude, look at me, look at me—we can wait. You need to focus on getting your life back on track and on more urgent matters, like helping your parents or your sister. I don't mind waiting another month for the update.

Hey! First of all, thank you for taking the time to update us and let us know what’s going on. Please don’t feel guilty at all, and there is absolutely no need to apologize or justify putting your family first. Having a family that trusts you enough to call on you in such a huge time of need says a lot about who you are, even if balancing everyone’s separate lives during a crisis like this is incredibly tough. Handling an unexpected farm relocation, helping with four kids, and managing all of that on short notice sounds utterly exhausting. It’s completely understandable that you’re burnt out. Taking care of your own well-being and being there for your family always comes before work or project updates. We’re just glad to hear from you and know you’re safe. Take all the time you need to rest, recharge, and get back on your feet. The updates and the art can wait—your health and peace of mind come first. Sending you lots of strength!
