It’s Finally Here! Chapter 03 of My True Desire is out! 🎉

After a long wait, I’m beyond excited to announce that Chapter 03 is officially here!

Yes… it's finally time! I’m incredibly proud of this release, and I truly believe it’s my best work yet. This update brings a lot of new content. Seriously, you’ll feel the difference, and I really hope you enjoy every moment of it. While there are still a few minor things I’d like to polish or expand in the future, I’m confident this build is strong and ready for you to dive into.Ah, and for the best experience, I highly recommend starting the game from the beginning! A lot has been added and improved since the last version, including a 2D animation and other cool features. But if you’d rather jump straight to the new content, don’t forget to use the skip button on main menu!

Chapter 03 picks up right where we left off: Daniel (our MC) finds himself in hot water and message his chaotic best friend Gabi for help… but of course, nothing ever goes quite as expected.

On Discord, we have a dedicated channel for bug reports, but I always try to keep an eye on everything, so… Anyway! The bug you reported is happening because old saves are actually corrupted. I made some changes to the code that require going through the choices again. Use the skip button on main menu to do it faster!

Oh... oops 🫣 That happens because the new chapter doesn't have any animations yet, and I forgot to remove that part from the script. The public release (next week) will probably include animated backgrounds, but I’m not 100% sure yet So, for Chapter 03 specifically, I recommend disabling animations for now

I've said this before and I'll say it again. I love this game. Love it to bits. Ana is just sublime. Beautiful but not in a Barbie Doll, Meissner, porcelain doll sort of way; in a real way. I love the fact that it doesn't go from prude to slut in ten seconds ... or in the first chapter - too many do. I'm a big fan of NTS. I love the mutuality of it and this is a brilliant example of a very good NTS game. For my money, you're right up there with Blurring the Walls, Vulgar Reverie, Moonripple Lake, College of Mysteria and My New Girlfriend. Please keep up the good work.

NTS is always about the relationship first. Boundries set, and crossing those resulting in significant consequences. There have to be choice scenes when things heat up, and there has to be the ability to recognize and impose consequences immediately. Blurring the walls & Netorase Phone were favorites... as a player it was emotionally fulfilling ... until it wasn't. When there's less respect of mutually agreed upon boundries and a constant desire to go beyond them then the path needs to have a choice as to how to kick the other free (bet it forever, or just a week or two) until the relationship does or doesn't matter most. It's more work and more paths, but it would draw a bigger audience than just such a narrow trope. There are so many ways to create a hybrid path, a positive, humorous ending without it becoming an uncomfortable, unpredicatble slutfest. Add more choices, path them, weight them properly towards the endings. But that likely wouldn't be what die hard neto's want, either. At least this hasn't descended into a stereotypical BBC fetish that seems to be all the rage in "NTS" or "NTR" branded offerings lately. Just my 2 cents and opinion. And I won't offer any more! My brain hurtssssss....LOL

I'll have to agree on that one. It's already time for MTD to have a replay mechanic But It's kinda difficult to implement, so I'll leave that for Chapter 05
