Feeling Better & Making Progress (Patreon)

Hey, everyone! How's it going?

First of all, I want to thank everyone for all the messages I've received over the past few days. I was going through a pretty rough and stressful period, and you guys really helped me a lot. ❤️

I followed a lot of the advice you gave me, and throughout this past week, I've managed to improve quite a bit, even though I'm still not completely back to normal. My insomnia has been getting better, as have the dizziness and headaches. The muscle tension is completely gone.

Another thing that gradually came back throughout the week was my excitement about working on the chapter. 🥰

This time, I wasn't just doing everything as fast as possible so I could finish as soon as possible. I was actually enjoying the process and focusing on making everything as good as I possibly could.

The difference between something made in a rush and something made with dedication and time is night and day, and I can say with absolute certainty that the experience you'll have playing the new chapter will be much better now than it would've been before.

That said, don't expect the release this weekend just yet. I still need to finish putting together the final scene, as well as add a few extra things, like sound effects and some menu updates for the new chapter.

And there's something pretty interesting that's worth mentioning: production time vs. chapter size.

Do you remember when I said a while back that this would be a pretty small chapter and would therefore take less time to produce? Well... in the end, I got a little too carried away, and it turned out to be nothing like that. 😅

The new chapter is actually slightly bigger than Chapter 04.

To give you an idea, Chapter 04 had 5 months of production, with an average playtime of around 1 hour (14,166 words).

Chapter 06 will have approximately 3 months and 2 weeks of production, and will also have an average playtime of around 1 hour (14,562 words).

The number of images is also almost the same.

Now it makes perfect sense why I almost lost my mind! Haha!

That almost 50% increase in productivity is obviously great in itself. But most of that increase came from all the overtime I was putting in every single day, and the cost was high. 😵‍💫

Either way, my time management keeps getting better, and maybe at some point in the future, I'll upgrade my hardware so I can generate more images in less time. But that's a conversation for another day!
