About the Chapter 06 Preview Build (Patreon)

Hey, guys! 👋

Since I know many of you have been waiting very anxiously for Chapter 06, and a large portion of the chapter is already fully playable, I've decided to make an optional Preview Build available to Legend members, who already have access to beta builds as part of their tier.

The build should be ready very soon. I'm posting this here first because I want to give priority to the people who are already supporting the project before making any further announcements. I've also opened a few additional Legend tier slots to give everyone who wants to play the preview a chance, since they were previously full.

I want to make one thing very clear, though: this is not the official Chapter 06 release. ⬅️

The Preview Build is still incomplete. It will be missing the final part of the chapter, most of the sound effects, some quality-of-life updates, and the final round of polish and revisions.

You'll still be able to play a substantial part of Chapter 06 from beginning to end, though. And if you don't care about SFX and love a good cliffhanger, this is the best version for you, haha!

Jokes apart, I still recommend waiting for the Final Build if you want the best possible first experience.

The Preview is mainly for those of you who are extremely eager to see the new chapter and don't mind playing an unfinished version now and coming back later for the remaining content.

At the moment, I believe the definitive version will need approximately another two of work. I want to use that time to finish the remaining scene properly, add the missing SFX and improvements, and give the whole chapter the final polish it deserves. ✨

So, in short:

Legend members who don't want to wait will be able to play the Preview Build very soon.

And for everyone who would rather experience Chapter 06 exactly as intended, I strongly recommend holding on just a little longer for the Final Build. ❤️

Honestly, I was very unsure whether I should do this or not, since it significantly affects the chapter’s release, which is something I’ve been building up for months. It might be that releasing this preview ends up being a big misstep and causes a lot of frustration, it might not have any impact at all, or it might turn out to be a great decision that pleases most of the community without harming the project.

But in the end, I think it will be fine. I’m not forcing anyone to play this version, and it only took about 30 minutes to put the build together, so it doesn’t affect the development time of the official release. Either way, I know this is all a journey, and I’m grateful that you’re here with me. 💜
