Chapter 07 Progress + Final Outfit Poll (Patreon)

Hey, guys! Hope you're all doing well! 💜

Today I'm bringing you not only another weekly dev update, but also one final poll for the outfits in the next chapter. 👀

First, a little bit about the past few weeks:

Following the same direction as the previous update, I've been focusing heavily on the more structural side of the project's story, coming up with ideas and organizing everything into a mind map.

Even though I know some things may eventually change, I believe I've managed to give My True Desire and its characters a much clearer and more solid path toward the ending. ✨

After finishing the mind map, I started working on the script for Chapter 07, and then moved on to some corrections and improvements to the character sprites that I've wanted to make for quite a while.

Even with the help of a supporter, updating all of the game's sprites is taking quite a lot of time, but the results have been really good considering the resources we have available.

For this week, the main focus is to finish the sprite update work and, hopefully, finish the Chapter 07 script as well. After that, I'll move into full production mode for the game's artwork. 🎨

Now, about the poll results:

Max, Simon, and Hellen already have their outfits decided. The winning outfits in their polls won by a pretty large margin.

For Gabi and Theo, however, I decided to do a Round 2 featuring only the two most voted options, since the results were very close. 🗳️

And Ana's case ended up being a little different.

In her poll, I had said that there wouldn't really be a proper vote because I had already chosen her outfit. But I honestly didn't expect Outfit #3 to receive so many votes, and that made me rethink part of the design I had planned. 🤔

I believe the biggest reason the outfit received so many votes was the shorts she was wearing, rather than the color palette or the lack of a print on the shirt.

So I decided to incorporate those shorts into the design I had originally chosen.

And honestly, I think it was a very positive change. I'm muuuch more confident about going with this updated design now. 😅

That said, I still want to ask you:

Do you really think the brown outfit looked better than the updated version?

I want to hear your opinion one last time before I make the final decision.
