Ariel

You have seen Hado/blue haired girl before, but I know there are so many characters in this show, and she wasn’t featured quite as much as the other 2 of the “Big 3,” Mirio/Lemillion and Amajiki/Suneater, so I don’t blame you for having forgotten her. She was introduced at the end of season 3 in the Big 3 that visited the class, does her work study with Ryukyu the dragoon hero and helped Froppy and Uravity secure their work studies with her as well, participated in the Shie Hassaikai raid, won the beauty pageant at the school festival, was a mock villain in class A’s training in the first episode of season 5, and was in the filler episode with the team up between the Ryukyu agency and Selkie (who Froppy interned with)- which was partly a “beach day” episode lol

While I’m with you that we can’t ignore or discount the fact that all of these people are in danger and in need of saving/rescue because of the actions of Toga and her fellow league members, I understand what she was going for, she wanted to know whether she and other villains are still viewed as “people,” especially in the wake of Twice’s death. I think that’s a big part of the theming in this show- and why, as some people have complained/don’t like, most of the villains have been painted as gray/people who ended up on the wrong path whether through bad choices or circumstances they initially couldn’t control- like even Toga’s family treating her like a freak because of the urges she gets because of the quirk she was born with instead of maybe being counseled and guided to more healthy ways of dealing with/exploring/controlling those urges. All For One is probably one exception, because everything we’ve been shown concerning him just shows that he’s manipulative and power hungry

The pink haired boy watching Dabi’s reveal alongside the whale kid is the “look boy” that essentially went viral after the Kyushu incident and helped to rally renewed hope and support towards Endeavor

This Dabi/Toya reveal is probably my favorite in this show- I haven’t watched nearly as many reactions to this show yet as I did for AoT, but most reactors I’ve watched have been blindsided by it, just as you were, and I was on initial watch. There have been some subtle hints dropped that I’ve seen one person pick up on from jump- I kind of question it, but she seems genuine and has done the same kind of thing in Rick and Morty reactions, pause and say “wouldn’t it be crazy if…” then goes on to predict almost exactly what’s going to happen next or at least by the end of the episode lmao. First, and this is the least predictive imo, he has flame powers, and since quirks are mostly genetic you could predict a possible link, but the Todorokis aren’t the only heroes/family we’ve seen with fire power- it’s not super common, but not particularly rare either. Next, back at the summer camp in season 3 when Compress reveals he has Bakugo and Tokoyami/bird head captured in his marbles, then Aoyama/navel laser shoots his beam knocking them away from Compress, then Shoji/dupli-arms and Shoto/Icyhot are reaching for the marbles (Midoriya couldn’t because his arms were wrecked), we see Shoji grab the one with Tokoyami, and just as Shoto is about to grab the one with Bakugo, Dabi’s hand swoops ahead of his and grabs it, then we have an intentional shot of Dabi and Shoto side by side- Dabi says “poor Shoto Todoroki,” and you could see that Dabi’s eyes are the same color as Shoto’s left eye (and by extension Endeavor’s). Then, we see scenes in the first episode of season 5 of what happened right after Endeavor defeated the nomu at Kyushu- Hawks catches Endeavor as he’s about to collapse, then Dabi shows up to retrieve the nomu- but he makes it a point to greet Endeavor, saying “this IS the first time we’ve met, right number one?” As if he’s daring Endeavor to recognize him. I’ve seen maybe one or two others guess that he might be Toya once we learn in the middle of season 5 that there was another Todoroki that “died,” but that’s still rare in my experience

The biggest reason I never saw it coming is I didn't remember there was another son in the family who was presumed dead. If that had been hammered home it would have been a lot more obvious.
