My favorite part of the Council of All Might scenes were the two weirdos reinacting the end to the first Blair Witch movie.

As far as the hero rankings, they’re reassessed every 6 months, and they’re based on popularity and competency/cases resolved, so they can’t arbitrarily decide to “step down” or “step up,” I think even when we saw the last Hero chart announcement, Ryuku/dragoon hero was at number 10, and she said she would decline it if she could, so it seems pretty set

We did see the 2 kids/heroes at the provisional exam, Shindo/the boy has an “Earth tremoring/earthquake” quirk (and his VA was the English VA for Eren in AoT, so insert “Rumbling” joke here), and the girl has a “telescopic” quirk, we saw her pull her whole torso down into her hips/lower body when attacked, pretty funky looking lol- and they were referencing their teacher Ms Joke, who greeted and sat with Eraser during the exam, and kept saying to him “let’s get married,” and calling him “future husband” lmao

I’m not really sure if I see the power getting passed on beyond Midoriya- it was cultivated to defeat All For One, so presumably, if AFO gets vanquished/destroyed, then the power doesn’t have to continue, and I don’t know if I see him willingly passing it to someone who already has a quirk knowing it will likely shorten their lifespan- and it seems less and less likely to find good quirkless candidates- Midoriya did point out (part of which you saw in the Japanese you checked out at the end) that the power has evolved to something greater than that purpose, creating a “symbol” I suppose, representing hope/peace etc- but I wonder if what might actually need to happen is for powers/quirks to be done away with (was Overhaul on to something despite his trying to exploit Eri’s power and the ability to take away/restore quirks to sell to both heroes and villains for profit?)- the quirk singularity theory if true would mean that quirks would evolve over the generations to be so strong no humans could handle them and I assume humanity would eventually die out if they all were born with these unmanageable powers- I’m anime only, so I have no idea which way the manga might be leaning right now or what kind of ending we’re looking at lol
