All of the races besides humans in this show are very long lived- so I think it’s ambiguous as to what age/maturity level they are compared to humans at any given point- I think (though I could be wrong) that King was either also not quite an adult- or fairies are just born naturally mentally mature- as far as physically, I don’t think it’s that much of a spoiler to point out that King doesn’t have wings like most all of the other fairies we’ve seen (Elaine also didn’t have them before she died)- but maybe imagining King and Diane as more close in age/maturity is how I want to see it- but I know I’ve heard that some people claim/complain about King “grooming” her- also, I’m thinking she was equivalent to 10/11 when he first met her if we’re going to make an equivalent- she was living on her own taking care of herself, and took care of King after she found him hurt

My confusion was mostly what is his feelings towards her and was I reading that correctly. At first I thought he had the hots for her, then I thought it must be a paternal interest, but from what you're saying I think we're back to the hots.
