Nerobasta (the Lance Corporal Goddess) is the one that Denzel manifested into his body near the end of last season- if you remember, she ran away when she saw that it was Derieri and Monspeet facing her- and when Derieri gave chase, she immediately started kowtowing, saying something along the lines of “I know we broke our treaty and slaughtered those women and children…” I’m sure she was referring to all of the demons that were being held outside the fairy forest and were killed right in front of the commandments and other demons with them (presumably, those that were being held as “bait” were more or less “civilians” that weren’t actively involved in the fight between the demons and goddesses)- and after Derieri killed her (in present time), Monspeet said something like “you’re lucky that wasn’t one of the four archangels”

Meliodas isn’t half anything- he’s full demon race

Now you know why Derieri seemed to recognize Elizabeth when she and Monspeet confronted her and Zaratras last season- she looks exactly like the Elizabeth that she met 3000 years ago (and she thought it had to be the same Elizabeth because she did demonstrate some of the same “goddess” powers)

This does give us a lot more context to what happened at the end of last season, you're right
