I’ve been wanting to comment on this since you’ve been bringing it up a lot lately, but I looked a little bit into why in anime they often have the eyebrows drawn and showing even through bangs/hair partially covering the face- and you’ve actually seen it a lot more than you’ve noticed to comment on it. The top reason I’ve found makes sense to me- that keeping the eyebrows visible is one of the best/easiest ways to convey the character’s emotions (along with their other facial features). It’s also just an artistic/stylistic choice, but doing it to show emotion makes sense- I think it’s probably more difficult (but not impossible) to guess how a character is feeling without seeing the eyebrows animated (and maybe in some of the cases of not seeing them it’s because they want the character to be inscrutable)

I’m not big on caring about the animation, but the Escanor vs Meliodas fight apparently is where the animation was expected by most fans to be much better than what we got- if you compare it to last season’s Meliodas vs Gloxinia, Drole, and when the rest of the commandments showed up to fight ultimately leading to his death, it’s no where near the quality. And I don’t know if it’s been exaggerated, I haven’t tried it, but I’ve seen memes/thumbnails/etc showcasing some rather bizarre images of mostly Meliodas, and maybe a few of Escanor, from pausing on a random frame from this fight/these episodes (I think including some of Meliodas from this showdown with Chandler) and the proportions are all wonky lol

Most of the commandments are alive, it’s just Fraudrin that’s actually dead, and Galand that’s turned to stone. Estarossa is still recuperating (remember his epic showdown with Escanor from last season where Escanor kept literally throwing a sun at him lol), Monspeet and Derieri (who you might not have immediately recognized because she’s actually wearing clothes given to her by that woman helping them) are ignoring Zeldris right now, you saw Gloxinia and Drole quit, and Grayroad and Melascula have been captured and depowered by Merlin. I know it’s been a while since we saw Arthur, but if you remember, after the Druid training they did, he came out with a cat stuck to his head- and he still has that cat with him, though it doesn’t seem to be actually stuck to him anymore lol

When Meliodas was in Danafall, he and Liz had a talking bird pet named Wandle lol

One more thing- Merlin is physically pretty weak, so the fact that her pathetic punch knocked out Escanor was just to illustrate how injured/worn out he was after overusing his powers like that (and the cumulative toll they’ve taken on his body)
