This probably won't mean a whole lot because this series is very episodic but you should try to watch the episodes in the correct production order instead of the order in which they aired. For example On Leather Wings is the true pilot and starting point. Wikipedia or the shows wiki has the production order list if you decide to watch the series that way. Just a suggestion.

I'd prefer it if he just sticks to the order on HBO Max. It's simpler that way and like you said the show's episodic so it won't make a difference.

It was just a thought, and yeah for the most part it's not noticeable. Personally, speaking I hate when people start with the two part Cat and Claw episodes. They're not bad by any means, but On Leather Wings is a great intro for the tone and world and it was meant to be seen first as it's the true pilot. He already saw it from the list, I just wish he had seen that one first. Anyway, I hope he enjoys the series. I've always loved this show, but boy I've noticed it's not really bingeable. I've tried on more than one occasion to knock out a few episodes but I just can't do it. I guess it just speaks to how well written each individual episode is as a mini story.
