So the concept of Dead Apostles (vampires) comes from Nasu’s first visual novel, Tsukihime, which he made four years before Fate/Stay Night. Both stories started out as connected, but later became separate universes in the larger multiverse in order to prevent lore conflicts. Fate is full of servants whereas Tsukihime is full of vampires lol, though they do have different elements cross over sometimes like in this episode

I might have you react to Tsukihime eventually, but I’ve heard the anime adaptation is so bad the fandom denies it’s very existence lmao

I love Fate/Zero’s action, but to me these two episodes felt the most like what Nasu’s vision for Fate is. Explorations about ideologies and how theoretical ideals clash with reality
