feel like one of those common trope where our group experience a crushing defeat, get rescued, see the gap between them and the strongest characters and probably start a training arc or something. I only have seen season 1 so i dont think i know/remember much after this arc

I remember back when i was watching demon slayer week to week back in 2019, when episode 19 aired it damn near broke the internet bc of how emotional and how beautiful the animation was in that last scene. This episode and the demon slayer movie Mugen train had a massive impact on the anime industry by showing the levels that animation could reach so that made every other anime studio step up their game, so a lot of the amazing animation we're getting nowadays is because of demon slayer upping the anti and raising everyone's expectations. Not to say the animation would've been any worse nowadays without demon slayer but it definitely did influence other anime to raise the bar
