The Guillermo Del Toro CC video was a month ago. and the CC before and after are in the regular location. so i wonder if they were in a different location and thats why it was noisy in the background.

Why didn't you label the title Criterion Closet and the list of the people that are in the closet? I didn't realize that your were reacting to them and would've clicked on them earlier. I also would've been more motivated to click if I knew which filmmakers you were reacting to with time stamps in the description. Not putting timestamps that directs me to portions of the video that I am interested in is a huge pet peave. I stopped watching your podcasts and reactions to trailers. I know it's to get the viewers to watch the whole video but most times it just ruins the mood and makes me not want to watch the videos. In the case of the podcast there's to much video to sift through so i end up not watching the podcast, I have no idea if you fixed that issue. But in the case of trailer reactions I just end up fast forwarding through the video and feel like: "I'm putting n ore work than I should to watch a trailer reaction."

I forgot that your deaf in one ear, but if you're hard of hearing why don't you just switch on subtitles whenever your watch or before you screen record the video. I just checked out the Guillermo del Toro criterion video and subtitles are avualable so why didn't you switch them on epsecially since you find him so hard to understand in the first place. Issues like these is precisely why subtitles are used in the first place. And just to settle the matter, Guillero del Toro pronounces his name as: "Gee-earl-mo del Toro". The del and Toro part should be very easy to pornounce. And del is a part of his first name, so it's "Gee-earl-mo" pause and then "del" and then "Toro".

I totally understand. There are plenty of pet peeve reasons why I don't watch people's videos. Our time is too valuable to spend it being annoyed. LOL. But time is also why I'm never putting time stamps in the podcasts. They already take forever to make, that would just slow down the process even more

Because I didn't know he was going to be hard to understand when I did the screen recordings ahead of time

Ok, but what about just jotting the time and topic as you're recording? I'm sure you have to edit the whole thing just to remove large gaps of dead space. And this means you could also make standalone videos using specific topics wth relevant footage, e.g. "Your talking about the new supergirl trailer in the podcast for 5 minutes so you cut out a video and overlay it with footage of the trailer." By doing that you could create a seprate video that more veiwers (both subscribed and unsuscribed) would probably see and advertises your channel and podcast.

Ok, but you knew you were deaf in one ear, you didn't know how to pronounce the directors name and could assume that he might be hard to understand if your struggle with other languages and accents, and you could probably guess that the audio may not be clear depending on the type of video. Even one of these factors should have clued you in that you may need to turn on the subtitles and even if it's not for your benefit you may have viewers that are also hard of hearing and may need to the subs for their benefit, or if you intend to talk over the person you're reacting to then the subs could also be beneficial for that reason. Note: Sorry if I'm coming off as a little harsh, I've been recovering from the flu that I had last weekend and it's making me very irritable.

What's interesting about this is I've been seriously considering doing topic specific "mini podcasts" 3 weeks a month and then the usual one big honking podcast the fourth week. It's more manageable, less alienating to the randos, and will probably be more fun for me. Sounds pretty much like what you're talking about. So instead of 2 big assed podcasts a month it would be one big one and three small ones.

If you're calling me an idiot for not thinking about turning on subtltles I guess I'm guilty. LOL All I can say is it never crossed my mind to do it.
