Interesting difference between Damien from the comics and the show: in the comics he was largely an incompetent detective who didn't really get alot of information. After Nolan and Mark fought in Chicago Damien brought possible leads as to who might've killed the Guardian of the Globe to the GDA weeks after it ws revealed that Omni Man did it. And keep in mind he said "leads", he didn't actually know who killed them. After that he never appeared in the comics after that. In the show they clearly made him more competent to push the mystery aspect for why Nolan killed the Guardians, but ironically because of that they had to write him out of the show earlier by having Cecil sending him back to hell in one of the coolest Cecil moments: "That's the problem with demons. You only see good and evil. Black and white. Well, I need to keep things gray. Until I find out why Nolan killed the Guardians and how to stop him." And Damien's response: "I'd say I'd see you in hell but there's a worse place waiting for you." Robert Kirkman, the writer for both the Invicible comics and it's adaptation wanted to do a Damien and Invincible in hell storyline but ended up not putting it in the comic. Kirkman had always said that the show was basically his second draft and his chance to change some things that he regreted so this episode t write the story he'd always wanted. And after seeing this episode I can see why it never made it into the comic. This episode was incredibly dull and not really imaginative as it could''ve been with the concept of hell and demons.

There's a heaven in the Buffyverse. After Buffy sacrfiiced at the end of Season 5 she went to heaven after Willow brought her back she confessed to, I think Spike and then later the rest of the group that she may have been in heaven. Not alot is known about heaven in the buffyverse and it's probably not a christian heaven like depicted in most of pop culture but she did go to some dimension after death that felt like heaven for lack of better term. I don't remember if Angel retconed anything about heaven and it's been a while since I've read the comics continuation. I recently heard that they're not going through with the Buffy reboot which is probably for the best considering we lost Michelle Tratchenberg (Dawn) and Nicholas Brendan (Zander).

Glad to see this reaction even though I don't really care much for this episode. I'm hoping you'll get around to uplaoding more reactions considering how insane episodes 5-7 have been and I'm sure the finale won't be any different. Btw have you gotten around to watching the other episodes yet?

It just feels rushed, that's my issue with it. I think in a comic arc where they have time it could be really good

Not yet. I'm noticing a pattern with 8 episode seasons specifically. I blow through the first four really fast, then stall, then binge the final four at a later date. I don't why this happens but its been about four shows in a row so its a thing.
