Laying face down in a dense city alley .... where god knows what's on the ground there ... is the worst part of a superhero alley fight.

One thing to note- the heroes main objective is restraining/apprehending villains/criminals- deadly force is an absolute last resort, which makes sense given Japan’s strict anti-gun laws- so the police still have a role and aren’t completely pointless. And since I know you’ve seen ahead, you know now that quirks are highly regulated, so you absolutely have to be a trained and licensed pro to even think about using them against criminals/villains/etc- though I’m guessing self defense is another matter. In this case though, Iida definitely sought out the hero killer, Midoriya disobeyed Gran Torino and went off on his own, and Shoto I think might be the least guilty, as even though he left his supervisor/father Endeavor, he did let him know where he was going and to send help even though he didn’t know for sure what he was going into. Also, I like that here he tells his dad (or maybe it was him just thinking to himself) “My friend might be in trouble,” and if you remember, the season started with him challenging Midoriya, saying “We’re not here to make friends.” He’s one of my favorite characters, and possibly the most emotionally mature student in 1A (besides possibly Tsu)- he’s not over what happened with his father, but recognizes that he can still learn what he needs to from him.
