Handsome Hayeon Can't Hurt You

tbf....team korea is there just to get korean audiences to watch (it still IS a korean show on a korean network). Most all of them already are super well established and now are practically variety celebs vs full time dancers (I mean, 2 yrs ago Honey J won a baeksang award for best rookie entertainer and she literally just had a baby). It's not like they'll get much more for winning this. not to say they won't compete or don't want to win but you can tell they're there to make a tv show and all are already are super seasoned in the tv show world. They know this is first and foremost a TV show and then a competition in re to Rie vs Kyoka....dance technique is a skill (and Kyoka was FAR superior dance skill wise) but grabbing attention is also a skill and Rie dwarfed Kyoka in that regard. The camera just hunts Rie. It's the exact same reason why centers in kpop groups often are never the best dancers. but then again.....that didn't apply to NZ vs AUS.....so jsut kinda goes to show you, this is an MNET "competition" show (Im not SAYING its scripted but........)

I still hope Team Korea brings their A game to the fullest! And yeah great points about grabbing attention as a skill. I think Bang Bang kind of alluded to that as well! All in all this should be a very entertaining season and I can't wait for whats next!

I just love Kyoka's style and movements much more, but if Rie ended it stronger I would understand. I'm not mad at the decision, I can see why other people would vote for Rie. If Kyoka showed her facial expressions, it might have connected more, I did think that was one thing lacking. She's so pretty and just interesting to watch, maybe she doesn't like to use that advantage cuz she's confident in her dance. Will add my thoughts and edit as I watch along ... -Aaliyah is way too entertaining, she's definitely gonna blow up after this. -I get why this Korea team was put together, but I wouldn't have gone with this lineup. Watching the waacking battle sealed it for me, I think Waaxxcy, Yoonji or Cera destroy all of them. Beyond the waacking, this is more of a celebrity team than serious contenders. The first SWF is what made them famous, why not either new blood, or some heavy hitters like Emma or Moana? I like everyone on there, but as entertainers. Noze? For real? -LipJ and Ibuki are still amazing, but they are current like Kyoka or the Mannequeen members. -I think I gotta go down a Kyoka rabbithole, her gaze is so fierce. If I met her in person I'd feel the need to apologize, for what I don't know. She could be a new type of idol, you don't know if she's gonna throw finger hearts, or just stab you.
