Love love love this movie and this trilogy that's coming at ya! Lauren's never seen it, Harry saw this one once when it first came out so is getting to do a lil grown up rewatch haha but this movie is an epix origin, we loved it! Neither of us (obviously Lauren doesn't haha) know much about Batman so it's great getting to see how his story comes about, is it much different to the comics? The rest of the trilogy will be coming soon! The Full Length Edit should be released along side this!Really hope you enjoy!Lauren & Harry

Enjoyed the reaction! I agree about when this came out, bc nobody liked the last 2 movies but everyone agreed the animated series and Batman beyond were amazing! The buzz for this move was “why”? The last two were just awful and nobody wanted to see that kind of stuff again. To make it worse all anybody at school talked about was that picking the kid from newsies was was just stupid. But man were we wrong! When the teaser trailer came out it hit hard and people in our theater were clapping…for a trailer!!!! This was the first super hero movie that my mom and sisters said they wanted to watch again as soon as the credits rolled! And like you said it’s an awesome origin story….

Such a brilliant film right, hard when you have previously loved other films/shows from the same characters and franchise but this really was epic in our eyes! Such a full on story but sets us up so nicely for the next two 😊

The movie did good not great at the box office in America. One of the reasons was bc there was a section of Batman 1989 fans that would not support this new film bc it was a retelling and not a direct sequel to Tim Burton. A lot of people that saw the dark knight said they felt lost in the story having no idea that it was a part 2 to Batman begins. And a lot of the reason people went to see dark knight was not bc of Christopher Nolan (wasn’t know yet as the director he is today) but to see heath ledgers last great movie. Entertainment media was almost treating this like a funeral, to go buy a ticket and pay your respects to a beloved actor. After the movie came out it became “something else entirely, a legend” (sorry…). Anyway people slowly went to find Batman begins after dark knight and Nolan films were born.
