Hey guys, it looks like your reaction actually didn’t make it up on this video. All I’m seeing is the original content. Just a heads up. 😎👍🏻

Buster

A fun video. To clarify one of Harry's questions. A seafood gumbo is a thick, dark, slow‑cooked STEW built on a roux, aromatics, and stock. A seafood boil is a big pot of seasoned water used to boil seafood, corn, potatoes, and sausage — then everything is DRAINED and dumped on a table. Then there are also sub categories of food types and cooking types. For example when it comes to barbecue, there is Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Memphis, and Kansas City, and it is possible to like none, some, or all of them. With pizza, there is always a debate (especially between New Yorkers and people from Chicago over which type of pizza is better--Chicago deep-dish or New York thin crust. Speaking of pizza, another big debate among people here all over America is--does pineapple belong as a topping on pizza? Opinions and feelings are quite strong both for and against.

Flix n Feels

Ekk thank you!! Don't know how we managed to do that 😭 will get it up asap!

C Russ

No worries! I really enjoyed the video on YouTube!

Flix n Feels

Ahh okay, honestly both gumbo and a seafood boil sound delicious! I feel like eat things that are closer to a Gumbo though! Are the differences in the barbeque styles quite big? Ohh yes the Pineapple pizza question, we have that arguement here too! It definitely gets a mixed reaction, Lauren doesn't like it on pizza only because she loves it as a fruit and doesn't like it warm 😅 I just love pizza so it doesn't bother me too much!

Buster

Harry, I'm not a culinary or barbecue expert, but the differences on the various types of barbecue come down to essentially the following: Meat choice, seasoning used, sauce philosophy, type of wood used to cook it, and cooking method. That's about the limit of my knowledge, so if you want to know more, you'll need to have a conversation with ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. As for Lauren's question about jam vs. jelly, the core difference is jam uses crushed fruit, while jelly uses strained fruit juice. Jam is crushed fruit cooked with sugar (and sometimes pectin). It is chunky, textured and semi‑firm — you can see and taste bits of fruit, and has a more intense fruit flavor because the whole fruit is used. On the other hand, jelly is fruit juice cooked with sugar and pectin. Jelly is smooth, clear, and firm — no seeds, no fruit chunks, and is sweeter and more mild because the fruit solids are removed. Jell-O is a brand of gelatin and is something totally different from jam and jelly.

Ok im originally from Maryland and they blew right by with CrabCakes..when its alot more..it starts with Local Caught Blue Crabs Steamed Not boiled...then Crabs which steam in restaurants or in backyard my dad taught me use a 6 pack of Beer,Vinegar and Fine Red Pepper Salt mix we kept 3 scoops salt 1/4 scope Red steamed 45 min. We spend hours eating Crabs Corn Beets & Beer..then Cold Crabs are picked for meat lump aka Backfin is separated as its larger meat..packed in Tubs..then later made into Crabcakes using various breading Steamed Blue Crab Meat Lump is obviously best but the who meat in Crab is delicious including the "mustard"...(its a Maryland thang)..then with sauce Mayo,Seasoning light Breading molded or scooped into a Ball Deep Fry the Balls is Popular but you can Broil covered with an Imperial Sauce or Bake we add it to a Chicken Breast cheese and call it Chicken Chesapeake the name our our Bay that provides the bounty of Tributaries that make Maryland the most unique of states....if you ever Get to Maryland I recommend Capt Billy's Crab House (I worked there in the 80s..as a CrabSteamer)..its Literally on/Over The Potomac River beautiful sunsets adds to scenery of the River looking towards Virginia and Right near the Beach Location John Wilkes Booth launched from on his Escape route to Va Maryland DC is Beautiful and with Historical location at almost every turn and I highly recommend a Visit to DC Museums and National Mall...

Absolutely looking forward to this new channel. Just gotta get something out of the way because I’m Cajun and grew up in south Louisiana and it broke my Cajun heart. Buster did a great job explaining gumbo, but it’s also served with rice. I’ve never been a big fan of seafood gumbo even though being from the gulf coast I love seafood. Chicken and sausage gumbo is my jam. And yeah it’s basically a stew and you pour it over a bowl of rice. For my family it’s mostly a cold weather thing, though you can cook it any time. We usually do it with a side of potato salad. You also have a billion comments on YouTube and here helping you out so I just wanna second the national parks as another video. It’s something I think most Americans are proud of, and should be.

Scotty

And also the college football entrances lol. The big ones are all unique. Another one is some of the marching band videos. Harry is a bit of an athlete so I’m sure he’ll love the pumped up vibes of the entrances lol.

Flix n Feels

They did rush by some of them!! Oh they sound delicious, I love fish/crab cakes so these sound incredible being so fresh 🤤 Oh wow all of that sounds so good! We definitely need to visit!

Flix n Feels

National parks is a great suggestion!! We are so keen to get over and explore those one day ☺️ Ohh anything sport Harry will be up for!!

Buster

Lauren/Harry, a suggestion for a video to watch would be one touring an average American house, as the house and the lot it is on is larger than in Europe.

Flix n Feels

Oh yes we noticed in some films how massive some of the houses are! This is a great idea ☺️
