If you like Mr. Roger’s please watch the Canadian doc on “Mr. Dress up”. He is the Canadian Mr. Rogers, in fact they were friends and worked together.

Lauren/Harry: At the end of my post is the link to the full 6-minute clip of Mr. Roger's with the boy Jeff in the wheelchair who was then a grown man. It was in 1999 when Mr. Roger's was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame, and Mr. Rogers gave his acceptance speech with Jeff on the stage. It is worth a watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcNxY4TudXo

Ah mr.rogers i remember as a kid watching him and i loved the show helped me alot growing up as my parents were slowly drifting apart and my dad’s job requiring us to move alot. So him entertaining and leaving some good lessons for me that stuck with me as an adult. Its crazy once you read up more on rogers life how much he did for PBS and advocacy for children is honestly pretty amazing and his background funny enough was a pastor/minister he was very religious him and his wife but he never look down on anyone, there was time were black people were banned from pools due to fear of AIDs and on his show he had the character of the mail man (who himself was a homosexual black man) sit with him in alittle kitty pool to show how it wasnt right to have a unjust fear of people due to race or sickness. It was a little jester but had alot more meaning behind it

Oh wow that is so interesting, will look up the episode. He just seemed like the most gentle soul, what an incredible man who dedicated his life to helping kids have a slightly better day. We are so jealous we didn't have him growing up but pleased we found him now ☺️

One lesson that stuck with me is failure. One episode and its one of the most famous is him not being able to set up tent. As a kid it was weird but as an adult i realize that adults cant do everything and sometimes you fail to do something and he talks about how to deal with that and how its not the end of world. His death was a major blow to this type of television and it’s honestly a shame but hey best we can do is try to make each day a better one
