Time to cause some division amongst the ranks! This video shows us the (supposedly) BEST College Football entrances! No doubt if your team is not here you will vehemently disagree haha! We plan to maybe make this a recurring segment and maybe dive into individual teams, maybe make small compilations combining a few in one go... Let us know what you think would be a good idea and what you'd like to see!As mentioned in our recent post we are unable to post to YouTube for a while so you will have this to enjoy long before it gets posted over there so we hope you enjoy watching along with us!Also at the very end I added one of the televised games I played in that has the two teams preforming the Haka against each other.. Don't know if it is of interest but thought it could be fun to share!Thank you so much for being here and supporting us!Much love,Lauren & Harry

Me and the wife just popped some popcorn to settle in and watch this. So excited for you guys to finally see why America loves college football. Go Buckeyes!

There are thousands of colleges and universities in the country and most of them have football teams, but there are many different levels depending on the size and funding of the schools. At the highest level, Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) there are 138 teams, but even within this subdivision there are different levels. Most of the schools in this video are in the real top echelon, and I'd say there are probably 30 or 40 schools at that level.

Oh my goodness that's even more than I expected! Even 30-40 higher level teams is incredible! How awesome

I’m not saying we should do this because it’s highly immoral but I’m pretty sure if we got a pirate ship we could just like kidnap Harry and teach him American football and he’ll be one of us.

This was fun to watch with you, and I will try to answer some of your questions. Most of the college football stadiums hold tens of thousands of fans. The largest is in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where the University of Michigan Wolverines play, and is the largest stadium in not only the United States, but in the Western Hemisphere. You saw it in the video at about the 11:24 mark. It holds just under 108,000 fans and is known by the name "The Big House." That stadium has been sold out for every football game for over the last 50 years! "Tailgating" is the activity of fans showing up in the parking lot a few hours before game time with food, drinks, coolers, lawn chairs, pop-up tents for shade/rain protection, barbeque grills, lawn games to play, etc. Lauren asked how many officials (people in the black/white striped shirts) there are on the field. There are always at least 7, but some athletic conference's use 8 to keep up with fast-paced offensive team, and there are some experimenting with 9 as a way to improve call accuracy. Football is the "financial engine" for college sports, generating about 60 to 80 percent of athletic department revenue, a lot from TV contracts. Men's basketball is second. Those two sports essentially subsidize all the other men's and women's sports in a university's athletic department, such as swimming, gymnastics, track & field, volleyball, lacrosse, baseball, diving, etc. which do not get much attendance and virtually no TV coverage. Florida State University (the Seminoles) which you saw in the video that has the Native American mascot on horseback with the flaming spear (which he throws down into the logo in the center of the field from horseback before every game), has a formal agreement with the Seminole Tribe of Florida whose ancestors lived in what would become Florida centuries before European settlers arrived. The Seminole Tribe must approve of the logos, mascot, and horse and how historically accurate the chief and the horse are depicted, as well as the flaming spear ceremony. They want everything to be respectful. As you might imagine, head coaches at the highest level are paid millions of dollars per year. One extreme example of a contract is that of Jimbo Fisher, who was hired by Texas A&M University in 2017 with a 10-year, $75 million contract. In 2021, his contract was renegotiated to guarantee his job and pay through 2031 and the total was increased to $95 million. But by 2023 his performance was not up to the university's expectations and they fired him. However, they still owed him $77 million on his contract which they have to pay! He got part of it in a lump sum and then the rest in annual installments of about $7 million through the year 2031, even if he went to coach at another university! As the saying goes, "Nice work if you can get it."

This actually sounds like a good plan 😅 he would love it!

Woah that stadium is so hard to picture, that is massive 😧 Awesome it always sells out too! That would be unreal to be apart of, the volume of people and noise must really be a huge hype for the teams! Ah tailgating sounds so fun, we sometimes have similar pre-game meet ups with sports but never at the venue. So just a small group fo friends at your house before.. definitely not as cool as meeting in the parking lot with tonnes of other supporters! Jeez that is an incredible contract! It really is its own financial machine. Thank you for the details on the Seminoles, we were wondering how this worked. Very cool they have a respectful agreement, it's an awesome mascot!

Since Florida State University has the formal agreement and work hand-in-glove with the Seminole Tribe, the university has not faced backlash as have other college and professional sports teams with names and mascots considered offensive by some. For example, in the National Football League (NFL), the Washington D.C. team were known as the "Redskins" from their inception in the 1930's until just a few years ago when they changed their name to the "Commanders" due to pressure from sponsors and to a lesser degree, the public.

So you actually guessed it! The orange team with the big orange T on the white helmet is the university of Tennessee which is my team!! they are one of two colleges in the state of Tennessee that I like to support. They play at “Neyland Stadium” one of the biggest stadiums in the country. It seats over 101K people. Funny thing is Texas has very similar colors. They are white with a more burnt style of orange. The Longhorn is their main logo, but they do have hats sometimes with a T. It’s just in a different front from the university of Tennessee T. I hope that makes sense. 😂

Haha we knew it had to be one of the two! Thank goodness we guessed it 😅 wow these stadiums are unreal to picture! So many people 😯
