Back with some more Miami Vice content! This time the episode Heart of Darkness. We love the variety of the show, this time rather than going after drugs it was dealing with the implications of being long under cover and the black-market or the porn world! Definitely not what we expected but all the better because of it!

A huge thank you to Buster, one of our Flix Legends, for enabling us to watch this show, we have definitely become fans of the show and can't wait to watch more!

Full Length, Un-edited Reaction for Feels Fanatics and above.Movie/TV = Blurred and Muted after first section in order to synchronise your copy with us.You MUST own your own copy of the film to watch along. Else you just watch a blurred out box... 🤣

Lauren and Harry, you are correct--the character Artie Rollins was played by Ed O'Neill, who portrayed Jay Pritchett on "Modern Family" and his wife Gloria in the series was portrayed by Sofia Vergara. The reason it took you a couple of minutes to recognize him is because when he filmed this, he was 38 years old, rather than in his 60's and 70's which was his age during the 11-year run of "Modern Family." Based on research, and not my personal experience, undercover police officers in the U.S. can engage in minor, low-level criminal acts such as buying drugs or possessing drugs or other contraband, but they are strictly prohibited from engaging in serious, violent felonies such as murder, assault, kidnapping, armed robbery, and similar acts. Sometimes criminal organizations will exploit that legal boundary. This episode is another example of how "Miami Vice" was not afraid to end an episode on a dark or down note, unlike essentially all other cop shows up to then, where the bad guy was not only caught (or killed), but everyone else "lived happily ever after."

Flix n Feels

Yeah okay, regarding the undercover stuff we've always been curious about that. Makes a dangerous way to ensure no one is a cop, just have all your crew do some horrific crimes to make sure! It is definitely a show that feels way ahead of its time but not in a patronising way as most of the older stuff is better, but like you say in the way that the bad guy can win occasionally etc. we are loving the show! Very glad you chose to watch these with us haha!
