American Snack Help! (Patreon)

Calling all our American friends to help us work out what is actually American snacks and what is worth trying!

So we are planning to do a taste test of some American snacks so would love some help knowing if these snacks are actually commonplace in the US or is it just the website I am purchasing on 😅

The snacks I'm thinking:

Reece's Oreo peanut Butter cupsRed vines grape FlavourKool-aid Grape flavourJolly Ranchers (Freeze dried candy, original is sold out 😣)Warheads Cheez-it snack crackers Original Goldfish Parmesan flavoured (original is sold out currently! wondering if waiting for original is worth it??)Brachs Classic Candy CornA&W Root Beer soda

Unfortunately the website is a bit limited with options but if there is something that is a must try we will try locate it if we can! If we don't get it in this time we plan to do more of these in the future 😊

I'd say make a root beer float while you're drinking the A&W Root Beer. Add a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream and slowly pour the root beer over it. So good! My favorite snack is Cool Ranch Doritos. I don't know if you have those over there or can even get them, but they're definitely worth trying. And I'll be curious to see you guys try candy corn. I honestly have not met one person who likes it. 😂 It tastes like you're eating an artificially flavored candle.

Ohh a root beer float would be nice!! I think we have that flavour of Doritos but not sure if it's the exact same as in the US, will check this out I've always wanted to try Candy corn 😅 I feel like we may not like it if that's it's flavour profile 😅 but worth a try!

My favorite Doritos are the sweet chili flavor! All these snacks are detrimental to me because I love them all! I’ll eat almost any candy there is. Lol! If you guys have a PO Box or something that you can share with me. I’ll start putting together a little American care package to send off to you guys! I’ll put together a collection of some of my favorite snacks and you can try them! I’m glad you made this post because I thought about suggesting something like this to you guys. Thought it might be good fun.

Ah yes we are big crisp (chip) eaters!! We love Doritos too, I think we only have the Thai Sweet chilli flavour in a purple packet is that the same for you? It's always interesting how they do different flavours for different countries I've tried to limit the candy and chocolates otherwise we will just eat the whole lot haha we are big sweet treat eaters! Ah thanks very kind of you, we haven't got one set up yet but are looking at setting one up sometime soon so can let you know when we do ☺️ Do you think the list above is a good start? Is grape Kool aid a good flavour? We've heard America does great grape flavoured things whereas we don't have it very often here! I think on the pack it may have said unsweetened is that normal for it? Do we add our own sugar or is it sweet enough normally?

I believe you might have the same Doritos as we do they just may have a slightly different name. Honestly, I have to check the bag and make sure. Lol. It’s definitely a purple bag as you mentioned though. I have to try and limit candy as well because I will eat every bite. Lol. Just let me know and I’ll be happy to send some care packages off to you guys! I think the list that you have is a great start! I absolutely love anything grape flavored. It’s my go to flavor when there is a multitude of flavors to select from. That and strawberry! The Kool-Aid packs are just essentially the flavor without the sugar. You have to add your own sugar. If you have the same packages, I’m thinking of I believe it’s one cup sugar per pack. And it makes around 2 quarts, which comes out to about 1.9 L. Can’t wait to see what you guys think. This should be good fun!
