Ep.12 Ch.1: Preview (Patreon)

Hey guys!

I’m finishing the first big scene with Emma right now. There’s only one last animation left from the whole "Memory Experiment/Simulation" part, and once it’s done, I’ll be ready to move on to Emma’s next scene.

And that one will be quite different. It takes place in her bathroom and is much more straightforward than the current scene. No complicated simulations and no jumping back and forth between two realities. This time we’re getting straight to the action which sounds easier, right? ;-p

After spending so much time on the memory-table scene, I’m actually looking forward to working on something more direct. The current sequence required quite a lot of extra work with the effects, transitions, split screens, and keeping the real-world and simulated parts consistent with each other. So technically, the hardest part of Emma’s block should already be behind me.

Apart from that, development has been going smoothly without any major problems. The chapter also passed a nice little milestone recently and now has over 500 renders. Judging by the remaining scenes and their planned size, I expect Episode 12 Chapter 1 to end up somewhere around 1000 renders, not counting the special scene.

So yeah, not the most eventful devlog this week, but steady progress is still progress, heh. My main goal now is to finally wrap up the experiment and dive straight into Emma’s second scene.
