Ep.12 Ch.1: Preview (Patreon)

Hey guys!

I’m finishing the last renders for Emma’s scene and already starting working on the final big block of the upcoming update: Violet’s new task!

This block actually consists of several scenes. Some are pretty short, while others are much bigger and include different choices and outcomes. This time I wanted to give players more freedom in how they approach the task, so there will be three main ways to handle it:

You can lie and pretend to get what you need, use your powers, or play dirty and turn the whole situation to your advantage. That last option will require some specific choices to have been made earlier in the game.

Like I mentioned before, MC is going to meet some familiar characters from previous episodes, but this time they’ll play a much bigger role in the story. Depending on the route you choose and how well you complete the task, your relationship with Violet will change... and that will determine how far you can go with her.

So, if you like Violet, do your best and try to impress her with the results. If you don’t, you can simply finish the job without putting too much effort into winning her over and move on. In that case, you won’t get her scenes in Episode 12 Ch. 2.

That’s basically the main purpose of this task from the relationship side: to decide how far you actually want to take things with Violet.

And now, a few words about the task itself. I’ll reveal more details once I actually start working through the individual scenes, but the general setup is this:

Richard, whose business Violet took over in the previous update, used to work with someone we’ll call P. for now. Richard supplied P. with everything he needed. Now that Richard is gone, P. wants to continue the same arrangement with Violet.

The problem is that Violet wants a much higher price.

P. refuses and threatens to take his business to her competitor, Tony, who also appeared at the end of the previous episode. And if that happens, Tony will also get access to all the dirt P. has collected on his clients... and P. has a lot of dirt. Violet obviously can’t let that happen, so she sends MC there to get everything before Tony does.

The goal sounds simple enough, but the process won’t be nearly as straightforward. After all, we can’t let MC get everything that easily, right? ;-p

Since I don’t have many interesting in-game renders from this block yet, I decided to prepare some Violet banners for you instead.
