Happy Wednesday, Camilla. I'm so glad that you enjoyed KPop Demon Hunters (2025). I used to listen to KPop music and my favorite KPop group is Girls' Generation (SNSD). The members are Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, Seohyun, and formerly, Jessica. This is my favorite song from them: https://youtu.be/U7mPqycQ0tQ?feature=shared

Thank you for this surprise reaction. This is my favourite movie of this year and so glad you also loved it. When a few friends recommended this movie to me I was like, why, I am a 49 year old dude who likes rock music? I have now watched it around 10 times and listen to the soundtrack on repeat. Glad to see you noticed the girls in the after credits were from Twice and not the singing voices from the movie. In the movie the singing was done by EJAE (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira) and Rei Ami (Zoey). EJAE was also one of the co-writers of most of the songs btw. The music directors for this movie were Marcelo Zarvos and Mark Sonnenblick. They worked with a lot of 'real' Kpop producers on the songs. Most of the songs reached the top 10 of the billboards around the world. And this movie is not the most watched Netflix production of all time.

For more from this animation studio, there are the Spiderverse films … though to connect some Easter eggs, having seen the Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and MCU Spider-Man films probably is best to avoid comments from people saying you didn’t recognize something. 🙂

Also my favorite movie of the year and one I avoided initially thinking it wouldn’t appeal (as a nearly 50 year-old dude who never really listened to K-pop) but am so glad I got to it. Been on repeat for weeks now.

I've always heard such amazing things about the Spiderverse films!! I had no idea they were under the same animation studio as this

it's so heartwarming to hear how widespread the love for this movie is!

A friend recommended I watch this film. He loved it and he's normally spot on with his recommendations, but ... it just wasn't for me. I got 10 minutes in and just had to stop. Then I saw you were reacting, so I figure I had my chance to enjoy it a bit more. Seeing someone else enjoy the film in real time might allow me to share that enjoyment and... I stopped at around 46:00 or so. Yeah, just not for me. But that's the thing about media in general, right? What some people love others might find not to their taste. Perfect recent example: Addie's reaction to "Highlander." 😊
