Let's give Camilla a round of applause for surviving Halloween (1978). 👏👏 Happy Sunday. The tale of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode is one of my favorite horror movies ever made and my girlfriend & I enjoy watching this one. Again, she & I LOVE horror movies and this is one that we'll watch every year. I even own the 4K Blu-ray from Scream Factory. It has a 4K remaster that was approved by the film's cinematographer Dean Cundey.

Fun movie for kids, especially the night before they go trick-or-treating!

Excellent reaction to the film that set the standard for the thrasher genre. There are three distinct timelines for the Halloween franchise. The first is an 8-film arc that starts with this film and continues through Halloween: Resurrection (2002). The first two are fantastic, but they fall off drastically after that (in my humble opinion). Next is a 2-film standalone arc directed by Rob Zombie in 2007 and 2009. Even hardcore fans tend to "forget" that these exist. The final arc is my personal favorite, and the one that I recommend to anyone who asks. That arc begins with this original film, then continues with a new trilogy written and directed by David Gordon Green in Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021), and Halloween Ends (2022). All four of these films star Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, maintain the mythos established in the original film, and complete a compelling four-film story. However you decide to watch any of these films is entirely up to you, and I’ll gladly support whatever path you choose. Oh, final note, in addition to directing the film, John Carpenter also wrote and played that timeless theme song. What a bad ass. Happy Halloween!

And Michael Myers would go on to become a beloved comedian, voicing Shrek and acting in the Austin Powers films.

It's rather appropriate that you're watching "Psycho" next, since Janet Leigh is Jamie Lee Curtis' mother.

And doing a weird accent in a Tarantino film

R.I.P. Lee Pitman (2001-2025)

Great reaction, I loved it. The Halloween franchise is rather complicated with several different continuities. Original Continuity: 1. Halloween (1978) 2. Halloween II (1981) 3. Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) 4. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) 5. Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) 6. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) Reboot Continuity: 1. Halloween (1978) 2. Halloween II (1981) 3. Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) 4. Halloween: Resurrection (2002) Second Reboot Continuity: 1. Halloween (1978) 2. Halloween (2018) 3. Halloween Kills (2021) 4. Halloween Ends (2022) Remake: 1. Halloween (2007) 2. Halloween II (2009)

Cool – thanks for this unlocked post for me! Which gives me the opportunity to give you another movie for future consideration: Please watch and enjoy "The Fifth Element" by Luc Besson, Bruce Willis. Milla Jovovich, Gary Oldman, and lots more. https://www.imdb.com/de/title/tt0119116
