Fight Club, from 1999 - the winner of our 90s movie poll! I'll likely do an 80s poll sometime in the next few weeks too, since that was a close runner up in our decades poll...

Happy Sunday, Camilla. I know I'm breaking the first two rules, but Fight Club (1999) is my all-time favorite David Fincher movie. My favorite scene will always be the projectionist scene where Tyler Durden spliced a single frame from a sex movie into a family movie and the entire Project Mayhem montage, due to the crazy things they pull off. BTW, the device that they used in the video store is a VHS eraser. And the flash images are that of Tyler Durden.

from David Fincher my favorite is Se7en. It also stars Brad Pitt. But my favorite Brad Pitt film is 12 Monkeys. Have you seen them? They are really great.

How’s this for a little weird? The notification I received this morning directed me to your reaction to Sicario. I thought it was a surprise reaction posted today. I didn’t realize until after I watched it that it was from last August. I also noticed that someone posted a comment to that movie gushing about how much he loved that film and how his dad used to take him to Fenway. He was commenting about Field of Dreams on your Sicario post. So yes, the first rule of Fight Club is that we don’t talk about Fight Club.

yes i saw se7en, you can find it here on patreon or on my YT if you search for them! i haven’t seen 12 monkeys though

Blind Entertainment

Was waiting all week for your reaction. Somehow I’ve never gotten around to seeing this movie too.

I spotted the reveal a mile off. To be fair, I had read the novel. I hope the film looked good. Fincher lied to someone at the studio and got them to send him the master (which had been canned and archived) rather than a copy. I don't think the people at the studio were chuffed when they found out he'd ripped the DVD straight from the master.

Thank you, Camilla your precious and loved

Ooooo. Mr Robot. Great series. Well, definitely a great first few seasons. It got a bit meandering for me, but still a great series on the whole. It's hard to have a great series over 3, 4, or 5 seasons. (Another Breaking Bad plug - 5 near-perfect seasons)

Given your comments about Mr. Robot, there's a nice nod to this film in Mr. Robot: Check out the background music in this scene from about 10 seconds onward... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPY-Ou8MR44
